Army Times/AP: Two Army National Guard members tied to right wing groups removed from mission to secure Biden inauguration
Two Army National Guard members are being removed from the mission to secure Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.
A U.S. Army official and a senior U.S. intelligence official say the two National Guard members have been found to have ties to fringe right group militias.
No plot against Biden was found.
The Army official and the intelligence official spoke to The Associated Press on the condition of anonymity due to Defense Department media regulations.
They did not say what fringe group the Guard members belonged to or what unit they served in.

Why it matters: Their decision is a clear sign of unity before Biden takes the oath of office.
What we're hearing: The Catholic service will take place at St. Matthew’s church in downtown Washington D.C., about 10 blocks from the White House. It is expected to begin at 8:45am, sources with direct knowledge tell Axios.

Trump's sendoff will be held at Joint Base Andrews at 8am on Wednesday. Trump requested a military-style sendoff with a band and possibly a flyover.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell is explicitly pointing his finger at President Donald Trump for helping to spur the attack on the Capitol by the outgoing president’s supporters.
The Kentucky Republican said Tuesday on the Senate floor, “The mob was fed lies. They were provoked by the president and other powerful people.”
McConnell spoke six days after the Democratic-led House impeached Trump on charges of inciting the Jan. 6 attack. A Senate trial on whether to convict Trump and perhaps bar him from ever again holding federal office is expected to begin in coming days.
After years of supporting Trump with little criticism of him, the influential McConnell has said he’s not decided whether he would vote to convict him. His decision may prove critical because in a Senate that will be divided 50-50 between the two parties, it would take 17 Republicans to join all Democrats for the two-thirds margin needed for conviction.
Joe Biden replaces Trump as president at noon on Wednesday.

It may be one can read and listen to Farahkan and NOT try to overthrow the govt so tell us what those 12 white guys were tossed out for...when I served, many whites were far-right but still did not want to have a civil war or overturn the govt.
Blacks were being integrated during at the tail end of WW2. There was one shameful incident at the end of the WW2, where the captain of the USS Alabama, a registered Democrat, refused to accept black sailors. Pint is that the military was integrating toward the end of WW2 for administrative reasons. Racism is an inefficiency,. The military was getting rid of it to be more efficient and more powerful and thus more successful in prosecuting the War against the Axis. We could make a mathematical argument, but it would be wasted on the uncouth and unlearned savages of academia.
Truman's order integrating the military was to read the riot act to Democrats and other loathsome Neanderthals.
Currently, Democrats are showing their racists true colors in Biden's pick of Kristen Clarke DOJ's Civil Rights Division.
