Joe Biden and Kamala Harris used their first joint appearance in Washington D.C. Tuesday to mark the loss of more than 400,000 American lives to COVID – hours after the grim total was reached.
They both appeared with First Lady-in waiting Jill Biden and Second Gentleman-in waiting Doug Emhoff in a sign of their determination to change the tone from Donald Trump’s administration.
The ceremony was held in front of the Lincoln Memorial, to mark the illumination of 400 lights situated around the Reflecting Pool to pay tribute to the 400,000-plus Americans who have now lost their lives to COVID-19.

Der Mädchen Merkel is a great leader!
Her energy policy has been ruining Germany since Fukushima (2011). Now she is sucking up to Putin for gas.
Denmark can be 50% wind power, because the can bleed off excess energy to other countries like Germany using them as a sink for the system. Germany is too big to have such an option. Certainly Das Merkel has earned a hard degree in a hard subject. But I fear her knowledge is extremely narrow and makes her foolish. I checked. She published several articles, but she cannot generalize her knowledge. She is like a fool sitting on a high but narrow pinnacle.
"To heal we must remember", remember is a most unfortunate choice of words for Joe.
