Military And Intelligence News Briefs -- February 10, 2021 (Evening Edition)

To date, Russia and China have rejected an outright military alliance in favor of a strategic partnership.Vadim Savitsky / Defense Ministry Press Service / TASS 


 * On December 22, 2020, six strategic bombers—four Chinese and two Russian—flew a joint patrol mission over the East China and Japan Seas. 
 * Questions persist as to whether the U.S. Navy is up to the challenge of doing what’s necessary to protect allies in the Western Pacific. 
 * The best way to prepare for war is to be prepared to win it.

On December 22, 2020, six strategic bombers—four Chinese and two Russian—flew a joint patrol mission over the East China and Japan Seas. 

According to the Russian Defense Ministry, the mission was intended to develop and deepen the comprehensive Russia-China partnership, further increase the level of cooperation between the two militaries, expand their ability for joint action and strengthen strategic stability.

'The $9 billion is aimed at purchasing the KC-46As, a new heavy helicopter to replace the Israeli air force CH-53, the purchase of V-22s, all this in addition to more F-35s and F-15 EXs. The estimated price of the KC-46As will be $1 billion."

Why are the Israelis buying a broker tanker?

1 billion is basically giving 1/3rd or so back the aid from the Camp David accord. It all(?) comes back to defense contractors.

Is this where the state department decided to clone this arrangement for the benefit of young DC scions?

Their tankers are c-130's. They need the extra range to take out Iran.
