Millions In Texas Without Power As Temperatures Continue To Be At Record Lows

 * The cold blast caused by winter storm Uri is wreaking havoc - with Texas oil wells and refineries halted and natural gas pipelines and wind turbines frozen; nearly 5 million
 * Texas households had no power overnight
 * Jim 'Mattress Mack' McIngvale opened the doors to his furniture store for those without power to take shelter
 * Texas Gov Greg Abbott on Tuesday demanded an investigation into the state's main power grid operator
 * Officials in Galveston County said they were bringing in refrigerated trucks to handle the expected influx of dead bodies as a result of the storm; the storm has so far resulted in 15 deaths in multiple states
 * Deaths included a woman and a girl who died from suspected carbon monoxide poisoning in Houston
 * The Southwest Power Pool, a group of utilities across 14 states, were forced to impose unprecedented rolling blackouts because the supply of reserve energy had been exhausted
 * The current crisis started to unfold when freezing temperatures that started at the beginning of the month sent prices for heating fuels, including oil and natural gas, surging higher

A Texas furniture store owner has opened his business as a shelter for those left without power in the state after nearly five million people were left freezing in the darkness as a result of the harsh winter storm there.

The death toll on Tuesday rose to 15 across multiple states.

Historic snowfall and single-digit temperatures created a surge of demand for electricity to warm up homes across Texas unaccustomed to such extreme lows.

That buckled the state's power grid and caused the widespread blackouts. Some in Houston area could be without power several more days, officials there said Tuesday evening.

That is the problem.

Unfortunately, Liberals did not ignore the infrastructure.

They "improved" it with windmills that cannot take an ice storm.

8:33,

There 3 interconnections with the grid with the rest of the country. This has come up before.

But you do not know, because it was not in your latest TPM.

Those interconnections can be decoupled to prevent the rest of the grid from collapsing the Texas grid.

The Texas grid has not collapsed, It is rotating blackouts.

This partial collapse was started by iced up wind turbines. Some of the coal and gas plants that 'failed' were back up for the "reliable" green energy.

If they had been back up for nuclear, coal or gas powered plants they would have been fewer in number. Ergo, less money to upgrade fewer things. It might have been affordable. Also the plants they would have been backing up would have bene less likely to fail. Therefore it would less likely they would have failed when needed. They simply would not be call up as often.

8:33 All you are is a fucking parrot and dull among parrots at that.
