Myanmar security forces opened fire in several places on Wednesday to break up anti-junta protests, killing at least 18 people, according to a human rights group, a day after a regional diplomatic push to end the month-long crisis made little headway.
As well as using live ammunition, security forces also fired rubber bullets and tear gas at protesters in several places, including Myanmar's main cities of Yangon and Mandalay.
"As of now, so called military killed at least 18," Ko Bo Kyi, joint secretary of the Assistance Association for Political Prisoners, said in a post on Twitter.

what is wrong with people that they are so easily manipulated into risking their lives for a "leader" by "protesting". Frankly I wish the police in the USA treated our ANTIFA and BLM protesters in this manner. I suspect their bullshit protests in honor of criminals would die out very quickly.
