The Next Major War Will Hit All Americans Online

Any future real-world conflict between the United States and an adversary like China or Russia will have direct impacts on regular Americans because of the risk of cyber attack, Kevin Mandia, CEO of cybersecurity company FireEye, tells "Axios on HBO."

What they're saying: "The next conflict where the gloves come off in cyber, the American citizen will be dragged into it, whether they want to be or not. Period."

It is idiotic to get too deep with the IoT. No need to make our locks, refrigerators, furnaces, AC, cars, electric power all controllable via the web. Especially since many Americans will use the same simple, damn password on each device.

1:12 agreed. And I work in IoT
Fun fact:when you talk about these things, you get immediately talked down. "Are you a conspiracy theorist"is the latest weapon used by anonymous people online to talk you out of any prudence. OF COURSE WE DON'T NEED IoT locks.. I don't want them. You don't want them. BUT.. our society is hacked by twitter mobs who are often state actor's troll farms. And everyone knows it. Jack Dorsey knows it, the CIA knows it, the FBI knows it. .but still. .talk about the negative sides of IoT and YOU become the villain, the conspiracy idiot. .

It's done on purpose is my assessment
If you get Alexa or any of these spy devices, you're the fool and you hurt not just yourself.
