Then, China staged a massive military exercise to veil a gigantic deployment of an invasion force.
The simulation culminated with Chinese missile strikes raining down on U.S. bases and warships in the region, and a lightning air and amphibious assault on the island of Taiwan.
China won, within a very short timeframe.

Well, to be precise, they're home theater simulations, ie what would happen in a conflict in the South China sea, where China bears huge logistical advantages and lower costs/ resources per supply unit.. on top of course the highly fortified area, etc
But more importantly, I do not believe we are ruled by nation states any longer. We are in the middle of transitioning to corporate states.
I also believe that's what covid19 is about. The biggest benefactor are the large corporations on both sides.. east and west
What you'll see is an acceleration if corporate warfare, just that corporate and state merge.
It's the likes of Alibaba +CCP versus Amazon(+AWS) +CIA

Since when was America fighting alone?
Anyone can see that America is extremely hard to defend, that 10 carriers are a defense force. That they have no real defensive measures against nuclear strikes, virological weapons and are highly conventional in their weapons.
We could even argue they don't have the "stock" the genes, the blood for military command. Sure they have generals but at what point in history has there been a great US military commander who did a stand out job. Its been one diaster after another. Even their military deployments in friendly countries end up with hostilities.
Wests biggest issue is we have disintergrated the command by adding quotas for woman, for gays, for all these weak people who can't obtain the posistion on merit, while China has think tanks of chosen elites. Schemeing plotting and living in a 1950's China notion of hating on American occupying forces.
Truth is, if China could win a war, they would be at war. The moment China attempts to expand, all those nearby will start taking little bites. These countries are not going to launch full scale offensive actions in support of China. Its just to dangerious if they lost their forces and China decides, ill take that thanks!
Question boils down to, will the armour of Europe contest the armour of China? Because end of the day, NATO should have enough military capability to push into Russia, China, Africa, Middle East if it so wanted under the threat of hypersonic nuclear strikes.

Yeah the NVA handed the Chinamen their butts, but that was a long time ago. With the exception of the Gulf War the US hasn't fought a big conventional war since maybe Korea. Doesn't mean the US wouldn't win, but the US sorta reminds me of the Brits in the 1800's after the Napoleonic wars, at least until WWI.
