Vice President Kamala Harris has spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu without President Joe Biden being present, the latest in a series of calls to world leaders usually conducted by the president.
Harris spoke to Netanyahu on Thursday, with a White House readout of the call saying she “underscored the Biden-Harris Administration’s commitment to the US-Israel partnership,” and affirmed her opposition to the International Criminal Court prosecuting Israeli soldiers for alleged war crimes.

THERE IS SOME SILLY NOTION HERE THAT THE SECOND IN LINE FOR THE COMMANDER IN CHIEF IS NOT ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO ANY LEADER WITHOUT THE PRESIDENT BEING PRESENT. alas, then, the posts since the new guy took office never fails to slip in a chance to demean the current leaders in an attempt to make Biden appear unfit when in fact his popularity is now at 60%, some 10-15 points higher than Trump achieved in 4 years as president.
The VP does not usually talk to other heads of state. If Demented Joe is not up to it the VP takes over.
