The Chinese communist regime is accelerating its plans to invade Taiwan, an expert warns, as Beijing ratchets up military maneuvers against the island.
Twenty Chinese military aircraft - including four nuclear-capable H-6K bombers, 10 J-16 fighter jets, two Y-8 anti-submarine warfare aircraft, and a KJ-500 airborne early warning and control aircraft - entered Taiwan’s air defense identification zone (ADIZ) on March 26, according to Taiwan’s Ministry of National Defense. It was the largest incursion ever reported by the ministry.
Taiwan’s ADIZ, located adjacent to the island’s territorial airspace, is an area where incoming planes must identify themselves to the island’s air traffic controller.
The incursion caps off a significant increase in hostility by Beijing against Taiwan since 2020. Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen, re-elected last January, has taken a hard line against threats posed by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), while the island has deepened its cooperation with the United States—prompting the regime to escalate its warmongering towards the island.

WNU Editor: China's military behavior towards Taiwan has certainly changed in the past few months. But to successfully invade Taiwan will take enormous resources, planning, logistics, and preparation. such a massive buildup will also be detected immediately, resulting in Taiwan, the U.S., and other allied countries building-up their military resources to respond to such an attack. Bottom line. Its going to take a few years for China to achieve any level of certainty of success in an invasion of Taiwan, and only if countries like the US withdraw their political and military commitment to Taiwan.

US subs alone will make an invasion impossible. Throw in B1’s and B-52’s laying mines and launching cruise missiles and good luck.
Interesting prospective, but with NATO and Russia building up forces in Ukraine, it would pose an opportune moment to strike. I really don't understand China's relentless need to control Taiwan. If its purly defensive in nature, to stop a buildup of invading force then nuclear option could be considered. I just don't see China having the balls to start a military conflict, not when hybrid wars around trade and poltics is working so well.
"I really don't understand China's relentless need to control Taiwan"
There are two things flowing in their vein, blood of greed and blood of ego.
Wnu, you miss one point, China has the stomach for a fight and casualties to take Taiwan, China has a single unified government, China is not adverse to body bags.
the problem for China is getting the bodies into Taiwan and keeping them supplied, which means defeating the US navy in the Pacific (if the US sticks with Taiwan)
Again, Taiwan is a very large island, China would struggle to take it. I have serious doubts China would even attempt it.
You heard it here first. If the Republicans do well in the 2022 midterm elections. China will invade Taiwan in late Spring or early Summer of 2023. They will do so yo take advantage of a senile president and inefectual congress.

dream on and on and on and on
Trump has so many legal issues confronting him he is finished...Biden is doing just fine and all your snark misses the simple fact that he is very very popular and by far well beyond what Trump ever had...and if China attacks, we will respond with or without Biden because the VP is strong and knowing and experienced, unlike Pence and the misfits Trump had put in key spots
So sayeth the "decent" self proclaimed "betters". You must be enjoying that bed you made.
Have you even watched Biden lately? He looks terrible. I thought he would last 2 years but maybe not. China has the will and maybe the might to take Taiwan but there will be permanent issues. Imagine no Iphones, no consumer electronics ever again. Thats why the big makers of such stuff are moving out of China.
With the president as an asset, anything is possible.

And the deadlier Covid 20 bio warfare threat, this could be a Q2 play.

That is more than the usual shit we get from 8:38 in terms of syntax and "putting pen to paper"
Since the fall I wonder if we are getting played by a foreign agent or an American with a false identity.
They don't debate, They retaliate and they engage in typical Bolshevik debate enders. They name call and spam. You know 8:38 typically will not comment on a military hardware blogpost, but if it has a national level Republican or Democrat in the blogpost 8:38 will be there like stink on shit.
I believe there's a lot of truth in what you say.
The problem is lack of will to use them
With Taiwan getting new military equipment from America like the Abrams tank they are getting next year ect yeah the CCP will want to attack within the next few years.
