NEW YORK, April 5 (Reuters) - A U.S. judge has dismissed a lawsuit by residents of a suburban New York City county who accused the World Health Organization of gross negligence in responding to the coronavirus pandemic.
U.S. District Judge Cathy Seibel on Monday said the WHO was immune under its own 1948 constitution and the International Organization Immunities Act from the proposed class-action lawsuit by the seven Westchester County plaintiffs.
The plaintiffs, including a New Rochelle doctor and six Mount Vernon residents who contracted COVID-19, sought damages for Westchester adults over the WHO’s alleged downplaying of the coronavirus early in the outbreak, and failure to quickly declare a pandemic and coordinate a global response.

Update: US Judge Dismisses Lawsuit Accusing WHO of Gross Negligence Over Pandemic Response (Sputnik)
WNU Editor: My blood still boils on how slow and inept the response was from WHO in the first ten weeks of this pandemic. And to this day no one in the organization has been held to account.

This judge is now very rich. No worry for the rest of his life.
Everyone at the WHO and courts or organisations siding with the WHO betrays mankind and should be voted out the very very least. Capital crime investigations by an independent body is needed. That's the whole mess of these supranational bodies.
No accountability and everyone fails up, which now creates the worst, most corrupt form of totalitarianism flavoured with fascism.
Until they figure out how to reduce corruption and failed bureaucracies, we must dismantle these inhumane bodies that have caused countless lives and helped, together with China, trillions in GDP and starved tens of millions on top.
NO THANK YOU.
If there's no accountability, I rather not have the WHO at all. We'd be better off in the hundreds if billions easily without their utter nonscientific bullshit, ie propaganda and any institution repeating their talking points should be equally held criminally accountable for causing harm!
WHO is currently too politicized, I think. It needs a serious reorganisation. And a spine for dealing with many of the tinhorn ruling crowd that increasingly and negatively impact so many countries.
