Politico: Pentagon investigated suspected Russian directed-energy attacks on U.S. troops

Defense officials have briefed congressional committees on the use of mysterious weapons against American service members.

The Pentagon has briefed top lawmakers on intelligence surrounding suspected directed-energy attacks against U.S. troops, and officials identified Russia as a likely culprit, according to two people with direct knowledge of the matter.

The Defense Department had been investigating the incidents, including those targeting its personnel around the world, since last year, according to four former national security officials directly involved in the probe.

Pentagon officials informed at least two key groups of lawmakers earlier this year, in written form and in-person, about the investigation. POLITICO spoke with congressional officials who were briefed on the suspected attacks as part of their oversight duties of the Pentagon.

.... Gen. Frank McKenzie, head of U.S. Central Command, told lawmakers during a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing that he has seen "no evidence" of such attacks against U.S. troops in the Middle East.

Lets see, should I believe the deep state General, or the media with its anonymous sources? What to do. what to do. Oh wait, it is happening in Syria where we have no business being. Who cares.

Were you ever in Iraq Ron? The Assad regime assisted people jihadis from around the world who traveled to Iraq using Syria as a way point.

You say the US should not be in Iraq. Should Assad? I am impressed by his his imprisonment of Sunnis and their execution.

Could Syria , Iran and Iraq have defeated ISIS? that is questionable. With the addition of Russian force but the absence of the US? Maybe we could ask Dunnigan and Nofi. It would be open source and could be inspected. When the Pentagon runs a sim, you do not know whose thumb is on the scale.

Using the Wilsonian idea, what business does the Assads or the Alawites have in Kurdistan? IMO just my opinion a Kurdish state might force people thru necessity in the Middle East to go all Rodney King post incident.

Yawn,
I live here in America on the west coast. I have young adults out walking their dogs wearing masks. Masks that aren't even approved by the FDA to stop infectious disease because they are afraid of dying from a disease where it is almost impossible to die from. A country full of people who put in power Democrats that are raising my energy cost, crippling my savings, stealing my vote and my citizenship. I have to reach into my pocket and give to organizations that will constantly sue the Government to protect my second amendment rights. I can't work at anyplace anymore that has an HR department because I disagree with their upside down views of the world and you can't keep your job in america and disagree with the dems. I could go on and on. I have one enemy to worry about. And it lives here, to my left and my right. Assad, Saddam, Sunni, shia, when they come here to northern Cali and inflict what the Democrats are inflicting on my efforts to survive, I will worry about it.

And no, I was not in those countries. My time in the Corp was from '75 to 78. Okinawa, japan, South Korea, Philippines and the Marianas.

The 1st Gulf War was fought over energy costs and aggression. The Second Gulf War was fought because we were attacked and Saddam was a lying asshole. We inspected suspected WMD sites like Republicans inspected ballots, vote counting software and vote counting sites. There were constant delays some of the days long.

Operation Desert Fox had one or two purposes. One it was to protect Clinton. Two to was to keep Saddam from lighting up planes in the no fly zone.

The WMDs were sent to Syria and a few years back sent to Iraq, when Syria was hard pressed by ISIS.

What would have happened if oil prices would have spiked and stayed high? 1973 (Oil Shock) and the years that followed were pretty crappy due to oil prices.

Once we negotiated a settlement in the 1st Gulf War we look weak, if we do not carry it out.

I know I am not going to convince you, but you never let an aggressive nation snowball.

I will agree that Democrats are as big f an enemy as Saddam or others, worse because they are snowballing/= and they are bigger than Saddam was.

In typical Bourdain fashion, when asked by author and entrepreneur Richard Reed for one piece of advice to share with the world for his book, “If I Could Tell You Just One Thing,” Bourdain listed 8 things.

In addition to being kind to waitstaff and a few other points, Bourdain ended his list by giving a piece of advice that can seriously help boost your likability factor — “Don’t be a dick!”

If I’ve learned anything in life, it’s that dicks come in all sorts of shapes and sizes. But from living all over the world, there are a few commonalities that link them together.

For starters, looking down on people is a typical dick move. Regardless of color, race, culture, or background, all people want to be acknowledged and treated with respect.

Speaking poorly of others is also a giant dick quality. But here’s an interesting bit of science that may get you to think before you speak. According to the phenomenon — spontaneous trait inference — how you describe other people is how other people see you. So if you speak poorly of others, people will think poorly of you.

Gossiping, lying, being a one-upper or an over-interruptor, and being negative all the time round out a lot of the traits that turn most people off from what I’ve gathered.

So if you want to boost your likability, take note of these behaviors and try to limit them. Of course, not doing them doesn’t automatically make you likable, but it sure helps.

"Regardless of what any of these studies say… I have been wearing a mask at the hospital since March , 13 hours a day non -stop for 3 shifts a week. I will say that in the beginning I was able to tolerate wearing it all day and be ok. Now it is to the point of looking for another job. After wearing it for an hour I feel terrible and must find a place I can take it off to breathe, which is looked on unfavorably as we are suppose to be compliant."
