Hackers increasingly using companies and trusted suppliers as 'attack vectors' against US
The intelligence community on Thursday launched a "call to action" to strengthen U.S. supply chains against threats posed by foreign adversaries, which officials say pose "unique counterintelligence and security threats."
The National Counterintelligence and Security Center (NCSC) within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, along with the Department of Homeland Security's Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and the Department of Defense's Center for the Development of Security Excellence have partnered to "raise awareness" of threats to U.S. supply chains and share information on risk mitigation with the public.

Just in time (JIT) manufacturing is one way to set up your supply chain to reduce inventories, reduce cost, and increase quality. Japanese companies have done it for a long time. It has been pointed out that most Japanese suppliers were within 5 miles of their customer. son were in the same building and all they had to do was open a window in a wall and pass information or product thru. Whereas suppliers for America companies were across the largest ocean in the world in a hostile country at that.
At some point the CCP only has to say that they will no longer ship parts, assemblies, components or complete durable goods and see how fast things come to halt. Would TOTUS and the puppet send of the 1st and 2nd MEU over to China to force Chinese workers to manufacture stuff, place it on boxes and ship it over the Pacific? Put simply who wins the spare parts/repairable parts war?
These analysts at the CIA are pointing out the obvious. Question. Do they have any industrial engineers working for the CIA as analysts? You would not want many and squeeze out other disciplines, but they should have some.

America’s national security agencies can’t keep their own computer records secure from prying eyes.
They are a bigger threat to the nation than the many supply chain vulnerabilities.
