China Media Dismisses Stealth Bomber Reveal As 'Fake News'

The four images suggest the bomber has a weapon bay, two adjustable tail wings, an airborne radar and two air intakes either side of the cockpit in a similar design to the USAF B-2 Spirit bomber, introduced in the late '90s

Global Times: Overseas reports on PLA’s H-20 stealth bomber incorrect: source

Overseas media reports have recently hyped some computer-generated images of a new type of bomber published by a Chinese mainland magazine, saying it looks like the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Air Force's next-generation stealth bomber, the H-20.

But a source said the images are only imaginary and are not related to the H-20. Some media outlets from Hong Kong and the island of Taiwan reported on Tuesday that a Chinese mainland magazine on military affairs recently published some computer-generated images of the H-20, saying that the magazine has an official background and hinting that these images to some extent represent the real H-20.

Comrade Xi and the PLAAf will show the design when the time comes.

Hopefully, they use it to bomb the British strike group when it arrives in a couple months. Revenge for the opium wars and a century of Anglo gangster imperialism.

Eh, why even bother, the UK is a joke as it is.

While we do not "know" at this point, my "take" on this is at the bomber and its capabilities are real and the "fake news" is the suggestion that it is not real. Why would the Chinese do this> While I am not sure, I would hypothesize one of two possibilities. 1.) The details were leaked by mistake before the Chinese leadership was ready to do so and now they are doing so called damage control. 2.) This is an attempt to sow confusion. Do they or don't they have this ready to go? US and "allied" military planners should assume they do.

This means they are capable of hitting Guam. Does it "change everything" as the editor suggested. In terms of actual capabilities, I would say no as China has had such capabilities for a very long time but military planners and the US leadership class blithely assumed they did not. In other words, they mislead themselves!! IF US leaders and military planners now come to the realization of this, then realistic military plans can be prepared and implemented. If so then perhaps this "changes everything."
