U.S. Senator Says ‘We Don’t Own Space Anymore’ After China Landing On Mars

Space News: U.S. senator: China landing on Mars a reminder ‘we don’t own space anymore’

Sen. Angus King: There should be no doubt that China is a strong competitor to the United States

WASHINGTON — Just hours after a Chinese rover successfully touched down on the surface of Mars Friday evening, Sen. Angus King (I-Maine) said the achievement puts to rest any doubt that China is a rising space power that will challenge the United States.

“This landing reinforces the point that we don’t own space any more,” King told reporters May 15 hours after returning from a two-day visit to U.S. Space Command and other military installations in Colorado.

King, an independent who caucuses with the Senate’s Democratic majority, is the chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee’s subcommittee on strategic forces, which oversees the Pentagon’s space, nuclear and strategic deterrence programs.

Yeah exactly
No one owns space

In fact, we should have a global decision on how we as humans conduct affairs in space.

Let's NOT export the worst aspects of humanity, like warmongering, into space. That's the minimum.

But considering that soon all incredibly lucrative commercial explorations will take place in space in the next 100 years, the same media ghouls that do the bidding for their overlords so they can buy more yachts and private islands, will fail us at even this most basic idea.

Before we leave our solar system we need to change a few things, starting media ghouls that divide us misinform us and talk us into wars on behalf of the bankers and super rich. We must stop these demonic monsters before they export the worst of humans and might seal our fate
