Washington Times: Senate Democrats halt committee vote on repeal of military force authorization, bow to GOP demand
Senate Foreign Relations Committee Chairman Robert Menendez honored a Republican request and hit the brakes on a bill to repeal Iraq War authorizations, a Menendez spokesman said.
Mr. Menendez, New Jersey Democrat, delayed a vote set for Tuesday to advance the bill to the full Senate, spokesman Juan Pachon said.
The repeal of the authorization for use of military force would be the first rollback of presidential war powers since 9/11, though critics say threats persist in the region from Iran and the Islamic State group.

A bold prediction and/or very well considered one?
My reaction was when they delay something they really want to pass it but do not want to face the backlash so they wait for a dead news time like Xmas or overwhelm the public when a lot of news is happening.
My problem is with or without AUMF, Congress dies not spend much time on why we intervene or how to win. We need to fight, because we are being fought, but there is no real acknowledgement that we are in harms way.
China is at war with Australia right now, It is a grey war, but it is war nonetheless.
