High Level U.S. - China Talks End. China Says Relations Are At A Stalemate

CNBC: Tense U.S.-China meeting ends, Beijing official says relations are in a ‘stalemate’

* Before talks with U.S. Deputy Secretary of State Wendy Sherman even ended, China said the relationship “is now in a stalemate and faces serious difficulties.”

* State news agency Xinhua said Vice Foreign Minister Xie Feng subsequently told media the Chinese side presented the U.S. with two lists, one of “errors” it needed to address, and the other of issues Beijing considered important.

 * When asked about the lists, senior U.S. administration officials did not name the items but said generally that both sides raised concerns.

BEIJING — Another high-level meeting between U.S. and Chinese officials — this time in the Chinese city of Tianjin, just outside of Beijing — concluded Monday with criticism from both sides.

The statement said, however, that China still wanted to work with the U.S., on the condition leaders “change course” and adhere to Chinese interests.

You need to campaign for a boycott. It would mean doing without, re-using, paying more, etc. It would be worth it. People need to talk to their family, friends and associates.
