The Hill: Rouhani says Iran 'did not tell part of the truth' during his time in office

Outgoing Iranian President Hassan Rouhani acknowledged in an address on Saturday that the government in Tehran “did not tell part of the truth" at times during his eight years in office.

As Reuters reports, Rouhani made his remarks during his last cabinet meeting as president and just days after he was lectured by Iran's supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, on the country's recent failures in nuclear negotiations.

“What we told people was not contrary to reality, but we did not tell part of the truth to people,” Rouhani said. “Because I did not find it useful and I was afraid it would harm national unity.”

Even the Iranians have better governments when it comes to lies than we have

Our "leaders" talked us into the lockdowns. Economic oblivion and enslavement..

They made our children take unsafe drugs. They talked us into it.

No. The Iranian government wouldn't do to us what our own did.. and we will have to severely and relentlessly punish them for what they've done. Knowingly done.

1:22 is being a jackwagon as usual. I expect governments to lie. I expect governments to tell white lies. Like if the government has a Manhattan Project to win a war, I do not expect them to blab about it like a wet behind the ears liberal. I expect them to lie.

How often and why government lies matters. What is their batting average?

I regard Putin as a thief or an oligarch. But I consider Putin to be an "honest" thief. I could totally be wrong. It is exceptional that a government official does not use insider information to get rich. Nancy Pelosi even codified it and it is considered meet and good.

Where Putin shines is he does not hate the Russian people. He encourages families and births. He does not tell a segment of the population to exterminate themselves or they are wrecking the world by merely breathing. Putin is pro-Russian not pro-globalist.

If an politician is pro-American and not pro-globalist Democrats and liberals would jeer the 50s wants their values back.

Now 1:22 settle down and go back to licking your balls.

Respectfully, you're a patriot IF AND ONLY IF you hold elected officials accountable and call out lies --- and or leaders have misled us, lied to us, locked us down after they whipped us into panic

Our "leaders"decided who is essential and who is not. Such an inhumane insult.

No, 122, I'll not move to Iran, YOU GO
You don't want to hold the people accountable who destroyed our lives, or economies, who divided us based on lies. YOU GO. No one needs you here, you serve no purpose but helping those who did this to us. You punk sell out your own people! Go lick the boots of those tyrants. You're good for nothing else and people are fed up with enablers like you!
