Taliban Now 30 Miles From Kabul

Zero Hedge: Taliban Now 30 Miles From Kabul As Terrifying "March On Capital" Begins

The big international headlining story this week has been the Taliban's lighting fast gobbling up of Afghan territory amid the Biden ordered complete US troop withdrawal by the symbolic date of September 11.

As we observed previously, it's looking to get very awkward fast given the Taliban at this rate will be in control of the entire country by that date, making any 'mission accomplished' type speech given by Biden a total humiliation before the teleprompter so much as gets rolling.

As of yesterday the Taliban established itself a mere 90 miles south of Kabul, after capturing a major highway between the Afghan capital of Kandahar (the latter is now in complete Taliban control), given its taking of the provincial capital Ghazni along the highway.

The Taliban now has at least 18 provincial capitals under its belt, which makes up well over two-thirds of the geographic country.

On Friday there are new reports the Taliban are now a mere 30 miles from Kabul, putting the Islamists in direct striking distance as preparations for a major offensive begin, and as the US embassy has been ordered evacuated.

WNU Editor: I concur with Zero Hedge's report that Russian media is saying the situation facing Kabul is even more dire than what the Western press is saying.

I follow Russian news (in Russian) all the time, and their reporting on Afghanistan has been far more accurate than what the Western press is reporting.

Here is a report from Sputnik in English .... Taliban Reported to Be Just 50 km Outside Kabul as Besieged City Faces Power Outages (Sputnik).

About 34min in, there is a really good breakdown of how China uses corporations like Nike, CNN, NBA as moral judges on the US, and what they and their parent companies get in return (access to the Chinese market)

We (the West) do not punish corporations for doing this, but China does. So China's nihilism to deny access and deny dissent gives them this unfair competitive edge in a financial market not driven by morality but revenue.

Sounds a lot like loser talk, 6:20.

Lots of excuses.

"O'Biden is not going to be able to keep his August 31st pull out date."

"Kabul will fall.

The Talib have the same problem the Allies had in France in late 1944. They could not continue the offensive because they outran their supply lines. As soon as the Taliban can move up enough men from Herat and Kandahar to Kabul, the capital will fall within 2 weeks, if not sooner."

I saw it yesterday (see 2nd link) using very limited information. What are the Obama generals useful for except to say "Yes sir, Yes sir, ..." ?

This is a non sequitur post for Parrot, who had made one of his famous non sequitur comments like the clown he is.

And never forget this too

Dave Goldstein said...

If it's 50km, then the terrorists will be in kabul by sunday if not sooner.

Sounds like parrot to me, but it could be a Chinese corporate shill. Is there much of a difference?

Hmm Chinese have more backbone and are smarter than the leftist parrot Fred, he actually leads to the demise of his own nation, people and culture. A Chinese would never be that dumb. It's a clearly distinct mental sickness found primarily among caucasians on the north American continent.. but the disease is commonly seen also among the leaders in other western nations. And with leaders I mean traitors. And that's why I hope the military steps in soon and does what is done with traitors.
