Canadians Re-Elect Justin Trudeau’s Liberal Party To Form A Minority Government

CBC: Canadians have re-elected a Liberal minority government, CBC News projects

Final seat tally may not look very different from composition of the House of Commons when it was dissolved

Liberal Leader Justin Trudeau will win enough seats in this 44th general election to form another minority government, the CBC News decision desk has projected.

In the end, the final seat tally may not look very different from the composition of the House of Commons when it was dissolved in early August, prompting questions about why an election was ever called in a fourth wave of COVID-19 cases.

Update #3: Liberals projected to form minority government (Global News)

WNU Editor: There is no change from the previous election. We have another minority government that is almost identical to the previous government.

It should be noted that the People's Party, a small conservative party in Canada, did take a number of votes that cost the Conservatives to lose a  number of seats in closely fought races. If there was no vote splitting, my gut tells me that we would probably be having a Conservative minority government right now.

When the final votes are tallied I will check the ridings that were won by a few hundred votes to see how close this election really was.

It has been a long night. Blogging will return tomorrow.

I think the blackface picture of Trudeau should have more impact. If someone nonliberal had done it, they would be gone. I do believe the picture can rightfully be construed as worse. That said I believe that WNU is correct. The conservatives should have talked more about the economy than rely on a picture at the 11th hour. If the picture is damage over time then don't worry about them downplaying it or coming up with a response. Put it out there earlier, but spend most of your time on bread and butter issues. WNU was correct and the proof is in the pudding.

So the Conservatives failed to capitalize on the missteps of a bad executive. So are they ready for prime time.

Trudeau thought the time was advantageous to call an election. His judgment was wrong. So on top of his missteps, how good can his policies and judgments be?

Progressive Nazis do not ever lose "elections". They remain in power in perpetuity.

Bought by the passivity of the given populace.

Some of the ridings the CPC appear to be losing by margins less than voter share of PPC/independent(Yukon).

Such an erudite comment by 7:38. NOT!

Come to think of it at a national level the NAZIs were in power for 12 years. Nothing that their countrymen were going to do was ever going to oust them. They were finally ousted by outsiders.

the nazis enformed their rule and eliminated all opposition. is that your ideal?

No, my comment of 8:29 was an observation of how fascists like the NAZIs and other liberals hold into to power and never lose elections.

Sir--

BTW the word enformed is not in the dictionary. Are you perchance a semiliterate moron?
