Beijing Warns The EU On Their Growing Relations With Taiwan

Politico: Beijing fires warning at EU after MEPs meet Taiwan president

China is increasingly irritated by warming ties between EU politicians and Taiwan.

Beijing responded to a meeting between European lawmakers and Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen on Thursday by immediately warning the EU to correct its "mistake" if it wanted to avoid a deterioration in ties.

A visit to Taipei by seven MEPs has already sparked a threat of "further reactions" from China, which is growing increasingly concerned by the warming ties between some European politicians and the self-governing island.

The European parliamentarians are also due to meet Taiwan-based U.S. diplomats on Friday, according to an itinerary seen by POLITICO.

How long will this being "not deterred" last? I suspect not very long as they want that Chinese trade.
