Ottawa Police Crackdown Ends With The Arrest Of At Least 100 Freedom Convoy Protesters

Daily Mail: Trudeau's trucker crackdown begins: Hundreds of cops backed by armored vehicles and horses arrest at least 100 Freedom Convoy protesters in Ottawa and tow 21 big rigs using Emergencies Act powers

* Ottawa police on Friday morning descended in a massive a sweep to arrest Freedom Convoy protesters

* Riot police armed with tear gas launchers descended on the city center and police horses were used

* One man was arrested for throwing a bicycle at a police horse as the mounted officers advanced

* Ottawa police said that by 6:20pm local time, 100 people had been arrested and 21 vehicles removed

* The police were going street to street removing the blockades to end the three-week protests

* Fleet of two trucks began removing big rigs, campers and other vehicles blockading Parliament Hill

* Debate in Canada's House of Commons was suspended on Friday in anticipation of the police action

* Trudeau needs the support of Parliament to continue using powers under the Emergencies Act

* Vote had been scheduled for Monday and will now be held sometime 'early next week', leaders say

* Ottawa Interim Police Chief Steve Bell vowed the protest would come to an end over the weekend

* Cops have imposed a 'secure zone' ringed by 100 checkpoints to cut off demonstrators from support

* On Friday a third protest leader, Pat King, was detained

* On Thursday night, key protest leaders Tamara Lich, 47, and Christopher Barber, 46, were arrested

* Organizers said that movement leader Daniel Bulford had also been arrested on Friday

* Both both charged with counseling to commit the offense of mischief and Barber faces additional charges

* Meanwhile, Washington DC police are cancelling all leave over a rumored convoy to the US capital

More than 100 truckers and protestors have been arrested so far as hundreds of police launched a massive crackdown on the Freedom Convoy occupation of Ottawa on Friday.

Heavily-armed riot cops used pepper spray, while mounted police and armored vehicles were also brought in to help begin clearing the downtown area, paralyzed by a three-week blockade over the truckers' Covid jab protest.

On Friday night, Ottawa police ramped up the pressure by issuing an alert saying anyone 'within the unlawful protest site may be arrested'.

WNU Editor: With the occupation at the end, there is now no reason to have this debate .... MPs to resume debate on Emergencies Act after police make gains against protesters (CBC).

But here is an easy prediction, this "Emergency Act" will still be debated upon, and voted on next week. Prime Minister Trudeau's government wants this power to punish their opponents, and they are not going to give it up.

"Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs issued a statement of concern for pro-democracy activists targeted by China in Hong Kong. The statement comes amid Canada’s crackdown on the Freedom Convoy protest that has been demonstrating peacefully against the country’s rigid COVID-19 mandates."

Canada’s Minister of Foreign Affairs did not see the irony.

Canada is no longer a democracy

And the government shills, the creeps like fazman who tried to sell us the tyranny in Australia, is now pushing the same tyranny for Canada.

People. Wake up.
Hang those tyrants and their enablers. That's what the law is there for.
Trial them. Hang them publicly. Make it a national holiday and bury them in shallow graves that schoolchildren are scared to visit.

That's how you do it.
Trial them. Hang them all.

COIVD has a case fatality rate (CFR) of .9% in the USA and .5% in Japan. So it has a CFR of 5 in 1,000. IF you factor in comorbidities like obesity, diabetes, hypertension, cancer, etc, the CFR is more like 1 in 100,000. You do not shut down the economy for such a low CFR. Shutting down the economy causes other death rates to go up. It is a trade off.
Shutting down the economy for such a low CFR while increasing the death rates from other causes would rightly cause others to suspect ulterior motives.

Escalating vaccine mandate protests near the Canada-U.S. border — known as the “Freedom Convoy” — have sent Canada into a state of emergency. They’re also affecting the price of a variety of goods for Americans.

What started in January as a protest against new vaccine requirements for truckers crossing the border into Canada from the U.S. has turned into a demonstration against Canadian vaccine mandate policies in general, with protestors occupying streets near Parliament in the nation’s capital, Ottawa — as well as other major cities across the country.

These protests — the blockades in particular — have a tangible effect, even for Americans who don’t live near the border. In addition to hundreds of millions of dollars in lost trade for each day that border crossings are closed, the supply chain disruptions could make multiple goods in the U.S. more expensive over the coming months.

Some maroon submitted another 3 paragraph copy and paste from an article.

https://www.cnbc.com/2022/02/17/freedom-convoy-trucker-protests-worsened-us-supply-chain-issues.html

Many of the protesters have the COVID vaccine. 90% of truckers have the vaccine which is higher than the Canadian national rate. The truckers are not anti-vaccine. They are anti-mandate. They are anti-government overreach.

The COVID vaccines are experimental. If the drug companies say "Oopsie our bad", you cannot sue them.

The vaccines do prevent you from catching or giving COVID.

The one leg that mandatists and other Putlers have is that it makes COVID more surivable. COIVD was survivable by 99.1 percent of people. The only people who had a hard time surviving it, already had 3 or 4 comorbidities. That is people already dying or soon to die.

Some scientists worry about the vaccine campaign are making more virulent corona strains. That is the efforts by the people "who care", will result in great mortality in the future.

The people "who care" are not going to be able to eradicate corona. Corona exists in deer. That is there are large and ubiquituos disease reservoirs that will never be conquered.

Look at it this way Polio is still here. There was just a case in Malawi. Reasoning that it is just Africa is hogwash. The case was sourced form Pakistan from which mankind gets all things good like Al Qaeda, The Taliban, Pakistani terror financing, and polio.

Compared to corona, polio is a big fat target, which is easy to hit. So the mandatists and Putlers want us to get rid of something that can't be get rid of.
