US Intelligence Raising Concerns That Kyiv Could Fall To Russia Military Forces Within Days

Russian battle plans to take Kyiv and force an early end to the war in Ukraine have been revealed by US intelligence, who say troops and armour would be used to capture airfields, before a force of 10,000 paratroopers would be flown in to capture the city, round up the government, and force them to sign a peace deal handing control of the country back to Russia

US intelligence officials are concerned that Kyiv could fall under Russian control within days, according to two sources familiar with the latest intelligence. 

The sources said that the initial US assessment from before the invasion – which anticipated that the Ukrainian capital would be overrun within one to four days of a Russian attack – remains the current expectation. 

Russian forces have moved to within 20 miles of Kyiv, senior administration officials told lawmakers on Capitol Hill Thursday night.

WNU Editor: The above AP report that gunfire and explosions is being heard near the government quarter of Kyiv surprised me. If true, that tells me that Russian forces are already deep within the city itself.  

Update #3: I am now reading multiple sources that are confirming the above AP report that gunfire and explosions are being heard north, east, and south of the city. I must admit that I am shocked that this is happening so quickly, and a part of me is still very skeptical that this is unfolding this quickly.
