Russia Today has already been banned from from cable and satellite services, but Melanie Joly says ‘we need to do more’
The federal government must regulate the internet in Canada to curb Russian disinformation, as a federal ban on Russian-funded television does not go far enough, said Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly.
“We’ve banned Russia Today and Sputnik on the broadcasting side,” Joly testified at the House of Commons foreign affairs committee.
“We’ve pushed digital platforms to also ban them but we need to do more.”

She ahs a JD. She was also made Minister of Canadian Heritage after winning a seat as MP.
She is also Minister of Economic Development and Official Languages and Minister responsible for the Federal Economic Development Initiative for Northern Ontario.

Canada is at war, but who is the enemy? Truckers? Freedom? Martin Gurri’s the Public? I think the authorities of all nationalities are terrified now. Putin is scared, Trudeau is scared. When he’s non-comatose, Biden is scared. Trump would be scared, but he’s only there to destroy, not govern. None of the authorities anywhere is leading. They are frozen in place with fear.
Canada is at war with Canadian truckers. Truckers do not play Simon Sez well and it upsets violent, effete politicians.

I did use the word "way", but that could be ambiguous.
I did mention the Ministry of Heritage, which shows Canada is not exactly like America, but is more influenced by Europe than America is. Ministry of Heritage seems so degenerate in an European way.
Canadians have a Ministry of Heritage, but it does not seem to make Canadians proud to be Canadian. The ministry does pay well however.
