NBC anchor Chuck Todd was slammed by one of his own colleagues on Tuesday night after he asked what Ukrainian locals thought of American President Joe Biden's first State of the Union speech.
As the network's coverage of the speech continued an hour after Biden gave his final remarks, DC-based Todd said he thought Ukraine's growing refugee crisis was 'a very important missed point by the president' in his national address.
'It's yet another part of this story that I think a lot of us thought he'd use this time with the American public to speak more about,' Todd said, before turning the coverage over to Tom Llamas, who was reporting from Ukraine, asking: 'What are you seeing in Lviv?'

WNU Editor: A disaster is unfolding right now in Ukraine where everyone is scrambling to survive. The last thing that Ukrainians care about right now is what President Biden said at his State of the Union address.
This is so symbolic on how screwed-up much of the media coverage has been on the war, and how damaging they have been by shaping wrong perceptions on how the war is faring. And when you point out how skewed or wrong it is you are labeled as a Russian apologist or worse.
Bottom line. This type of news coverage is doing no good service to Ukraine right now.
Kudos to NBC reporter Tom Llamas in expressing his frustrations.
Sheeeshhhh .... asking Ukrainians on what do they think about President Biden's SOTUS when the Russian military is shelling the country and gearing up for a major assault on their capital and elsewhere. I am shaking my head. I am willing to bet that most if not all Ukrainians were not even aware that President Biden gave a speech. I only learned about it two hours before he was to give his speech, and that is because I was reminded of it by a reader.

Maybe they could ask them after the war. That would give the NBC time to edit out the laugh a minute comedy segments.
It was the first SOTU I can remember watching. I watched 1 hour or 80% of it before I could not take anymore. It was not a good speech as it was full of lies, but I thought it would be viewed well enough by the MSM that it would not end Biden's presidency.
By the time people presented additional facts, I viewed his speech as a howler. I am of the belief, which is reinforced by a pundit, that the Democrats will drag his carcass across the finish line for midterms.
Biden showed how much cared by taking a siesta in Delaware last weekend and he can't bring himself to ban Russian energy purchases by the US due to domestic politics and his own stupidity in restricting energy extraction on federal lands. All questions should really be going to Ron Klain since he is really the president. You don't think Biden is making any decisions after he calls a lid do you?
