Ukraine Official Says Israeli PM Bennett Told Ukrainian President Zelenksy That He Should Take Putin's Offer To End The War

Jerusalem Post: Bennett advises Zelensky to surrender to Russia, Zelensky refuses

Vladimir Putin made an offer to end the Russian war with Ukraine, but the offer includes many Ukrainian sacrifices.

Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenksy that he recommends Ukraine take the offer made by Russian President Vladimir Putin to end the war - which includes many Ukrainian sacrifices - in a phone call on Tuesday, according to an official in Ukraine's government. According to the official, Zelenksy did not take Bennett's advice.

The source claimed that the phone call was initiated by Bennett. "If I were you, I would think about the lives of my people and take the offer," Bennett reportedly said.

Zelenksy's response was short. "I hear you," he said.

Update #2: 'Bennett Wants Ukraine to Surrender': Ukraine Senior Official Says Israel's Mediation Is Useless (Haaretz)

WNU Editor: I suspect Russian President Putin told Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett on what would happen if the war continues, and the Israeli PM communicated this discussion to the Ukrainian President and gave his recommendation.

Will the Ukrainian President be willing to prolong the war even if it means the destruction of his country, the burning of his cities, and the dislocation of half of the population in the coming months? Coupled with the sure break-up of the country along a Yugoslav model? I think we are going to know the answer to these questions very soon, but for now the Ukraine President is all-in.

Poroshenko didn't NEED the nazi militias and he still bowed to their death threats when talks of a peace agreement came up. Zelenskiy however is utterly dependent on them, for his family's own security no less.

Couple that with the fact that western media would turn around and give him the Trump treatment if he doesn't prolong the war as long as possible. They would see to it that he goes down in history as a traitor.

I just don't see a path to negotiated peace. There is nothing in it for Zelenskiy. You could say that it would save tons of Ukrainian lives but he gets treated like the most heroic figure on earth as long as they're expended in the service of weakening Russia, however marginally.

"Will the Ukrainian President be willing to prolong the war"...

How you word things and phrase them, is very telling. Where you place the blame for this war is abhorrent. It is not Ukraine's war to prolong, it is Russia; surrendering, which is to say to accept Putin's terms, may end the conflict, but it won't end the insurgency that will sure to continue, and it will certainly end Ukraine's independence.

If you believe otherwise, then you have a very warped perspective on how this war will go, coupled with your own russian-apologist attitude.

Putin Decided Last-Minute to Invade, Intelligence Officials Say

Abhor all you like. The war could've been prevented with a press statement. "We're not going to station missiles right on your border nullifying MAD."

Democrat's egos couldn't allow such an assurance to be given.

In the exact same situation in 1962 we didn't tolerate missiles stationed too close inside cuba to be responded to. Your worldview is that of a child.

If I was Zelensky, I’d tell Bennet, “I’ll capitulate to Russia when you do to Iran.”

Break up of ukraine...you're getting way ahead of yourself. Perhaps Russia will be fought to a stalemate as the cost get ridiculously high.

It's a valid consideration. In fact, it's an obvious consideration, regardless of how Bennett worded it. Which doesn't mean it's the only consideration, even in light of the (current) likely outcome, which is that Russia will "win," though at great cost itself, leaving much of Ukraine a smoldering ruin. In either case (capitulate or not) Ukraine, as an autonomous democratic political entity, will cease to exist for the foreseeable future.

My question where Ukraine is concerned, is what did it do to prepare for a possible if not likely invasion in the aftermath of the Crimean annexation 8 years ago? Seems to me they're requiring a lot of basic aid that could already have been supplied or manufactured since Crimea (small arms, ammo, medical, man portable missles, etc.).

Since 2014 (and before) could not Russia be waging hybrid warfare to keep Ukraine corrupt and poor, so it cannot build up its military?

"450 Arab and foreign extremists from Idlib arrive in Ukraine"

I wonder if this injection of foreign al-qaeda linked mercs into our ranks factors into Israel's stance here.

West Point cadets are identified as the six Florida Spring Breakers who overdosed on fentanyl-laced cocaine: Two who hadn't taken drugs poisoned when they gave their friends mouth-to-mouth.

This story just got legs.

We might as well surrender to China now.

5:08 is obviously a managerial butboy considering he's advocating for what those types wanted to do with Russia for the past 30 years, stirring the fears of Russian leadership, forcing them into taking preventative measures(War).

5:08 is probably Fred Lapides. It is his style. Styles can be copied, but again it is his style.

It is in his own words "former, retired" English professor. He is pro anything socialist or Democrat Paty. If there is a blogpost or comment which makes a Democrat look bad, he is on it like stink on shit.

So your comment "obviously a managerial buttboy" is on target.
