BBC: Ukraine war: Blackouts in 1,162 towns and villages after Russia strikes
More than a thousand towns and villages across Ukraine remain without power after massive Russian attacks in recent days, Ukrainian officials have said.
Emergencies services spokesman Oleksandr Khorunzhyi said more than 70 people had been killed in the rocket and drone strikes since 7 October.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said that 30% of Ukraine's power stations had been destroyed in the past eight days. Parts of the capital Kyiv have no power and water after new strikes on Tuesday.

WNU Editor: My remaining friends and relatives in Kyiv tell me that they are experiencing rolling blackouts here and there.
I am in contact with one relative in my father's hometown that is 90km south of Kyiv. His cell phone is still working, but he told me that he has had no electricity since last week. He recharges his cell phone from his neighbor's generator.
I have not been in contact with anyone in Kharkiv. I have been told by others that there is now no power in that city.
A friend in Odessa still has power.
Everyone I know is expecting the entire grid will be down in the next two weeks.
