The group responsible for the death of 13 American service members is now operating outside Afghanistan
The leaders of President Biden’s top national security agencies testified that the Taliban’s takeover of Afghanistan after U.S. troop withdrawal last August has contributed to violence and poor humanitarian conditions, and poses a possible national security threat to the United States.
Leaders from the FBI, Department of Homeland Security and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) gave that assessment to the House Homeland Security Committee Tuesday, close to 15 months after the U.S. haphazardly left Afghanistan after 20 years and allowed the Taliban to take over.

I stated on this blog years ago that the strategy was not going to work. Now that it has failed, they are screwing up the mess they left. Argh.
Maybe stop running around the world creating new problems?
Hans,
Was George H.W. Bush wrong in fighting against Saddam Hussein during Gulf War?
^ Take a good look at the consequent results, then answer the question yourself.
Yep, then do the same regarding Somalia, Libya, and Afghanistan.
So it would have been better that Saddam conquered Kuwait and jacked up gas prices, because you wanted to live with energy insecurity 30 years ago.
The alternative in history was to allow the invasion to stand and face higher prices and more aggression. Regale us with a tale of how that would have been better.
Somalia: UN sponsored.
"United Nations Operation in Somalia I (UNOSOM I) was the first part of a United Nations (UN) sponsored effort to provide, facilitate, and secure humanitarian relief in Somalia, as well as to monitor the first UN-brokered ceasefire of the Somali Civil War conflict in the early 1990s."
Farah Aidid was stealing UN provided food and using nit as a weapon to gain political leverage over other troops. I will not apologize for the Us doing the right thing in Somalia
Libya: Obama Fuck Up. Not just any Fuck Up, but a Royal Fuck Up.
Mind you Obama is a piece of work and a socialist
Afghanistan: The Afghan Feudal government were kindly asked to handover the 9/11 criminals. They refused.

Does Hans Persson want to apologize to Tunisia? It was Islamophobic to fight back against slavers!
I'm sorry junior senator Pelosi sent you to fight in that war sir, but it was a long time ago.
