The Hill: Study: Defense industry unprepared for war with China
The U.S. defense industry is “not adequately prepared” for “a protracted conventional war” with an enemy such as China, according to a think tank study published Monday.
The Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) ran a war games simulation that found that the U.S. would likely be depleted of some of its munitions, including long-range, precision-guided ones, in less than a week of war with China in the Taiwan Strait.

Nothing new here.
The Chinese will kick the USA's collective butt. Why?
Because China has the largest aircraft carrier in the world.
It is called "mainland China".

Compare flight times to Taiwan from the main land.....You will see...that to shut down Chinese air superiority..all those bases would have to be destroyed.
Too many targets, not enough munitions and delivery systems for the US.
By the time that was accomplished you would have 3 or more US Aircraft carriers severely damaged or sunk. Guam, SK, Diego Garcia and probably Jap air fields would be hit and burning.
US cannot win this one....

You left out one fairly important fact. They have yet to be tested by an actual large scale, long-term war/conflict. Lots of new military goodies, most of which were copied (that tells you something right there), but also untested by the fires of war. Not to say their military capability is not to be feared, or at least respected! Very much so. But experienced with working under pressure, when it really counts? Not so much.

If you do a bit of googling about the charge that Trump was somehow involved with Russia, you will find that the FBI dismissed that notion. You will also find that the lead man for the FBI is the guy just arrested for aiding a foreign nation.
