Attorney General Merrick Garland on Thursday appointed a special counsel to investigate the classified documents discovered in the D.C. think tank and Wilmington home of Joe Biden.
Robert K. Hur, a former federal prosecutor appointed to that position by Donald Trump, was selected to fill the role.
The White House said they will cooperate with Kur and are 'confident' the investigation will show the files were 'inadvertently misplaced.'
'This appointment underscores for the public the department's commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters, and to making decisions indisputably guided only by the facts and the law,' Garland said.

any suspicions of the motives of the mainstream press is wise. They are being guided by whatever powers pull the strings to "get" Joe. But it is all still a sham. my evidence is the fact that the moment, back in November when the DOJ and FBI became aware of these documents in a college office in a college crawling with chicoms, they did not immediately begin an investigation to determine how the documents got there, who had access to them and interview those persons. but crickets. nobody did anything until someone leaked this story to CBS and NBC. I have read reports that suggests the special prosecutor has loyalties to the powers that be and not to you and me. same ole shyit, just a different week. Ron
