Daily Mail: Russia puts its strategic nuke forces on highest alert and carries out large-scale exercises in attempt to use 'nuclear blackmail' to weaken Western support for Ukraine

* Ukraine's Ministry of Defence warns Russia is escalating its nuclear threat

* They claim the threat is being used to break foreign support at a crucial point

Russia is attempting to use its nuclear threat to weaken international support for Ukraine, according to Kyiv intelligence.

The official Ukrainian Ministry of Defence reported via Telegram that Russia has started large-scale exercises involving its strategic nuclear forces, stationed for launch by air, land and sea, and put its units on the highest alert.

The post, shared on Sunday, warned that Russia was planning to use 'blunt nuclear blackmail' to weaken foreign support and to stop Joe Biden's visit to Europe this week.

Non-tabloid have:

* Used anonymous sources
* Used single sources
* USED anonymous single source
* Lied by omission
* Are sympatico with the Democrat Party.

So are tabloids correct, because of the right reasons or the wrong reasons?

Are they correct for not running the story, since it is single sourced with an axe to grind or because they want to make the establishment look good?

The British tabloids are not American and you could argue they do not care about the Democrat Party. If their journalist get info from British Secret Services, maybe that is not true. The British Secret Services knew what Christopher Steel did and had to approve. He di not go off the reservation. The British Secret Service helped the Obama administration outside of Christopher Steel. So just because The Sun and The Daily Mail carry the story when the NYT and WaPo will not does not mean they are wrong or right.

The connections between Security Service or other government officials and newspapers are not 100%. They ebb and flow. Prople leave various organizations.

Update 2 is an article date early 2022.
UPDATE 1 IS FROM THE DAILY MAIL. WHO references the Sun news out of England.
The sun's references go to a hokey site that references their informant a Mr " winds of change"
whose only proof he has is a bunch of letters he wrote himself that he has sent the hokeys.
I was expecting a Wilki leaks type site once I got there. No it was not.
Bottom line. You dig into this deep enough you find it is all unsupported and has no facts to back it up as far as why nuke force status was upgraded.

Besides the "why"

the question of " was an upgrade actually ordered" from these sources cannot be determined and remains unknown.

The Movement for Quality Government (MQG) receives annual funding

The State Department and Joe Biden are equal opportunity fucks.

Perhaps if some lads here stoped being blinded by their hatred of Biden and the left they would not say such foolish things. Fact: to dismiss our real intelligence and assume they do not know what tabloids know is very naive and shows a very limited awareness of American intel. They know a lot more and more often than you think

I assume Putin specifically and Russian irredentists in general want Belarus inside of a generation. With many human desires that do not take into account others they want it sooner rather than later.

Putin also want Transnistria, Moldava and the Baltic States. He wants Finland and Poland an Romania. Russia use to own Finland and Poland.

A fairly prominent Russian diplomat or politician called Romanians or Bulgarians gypsies (forget which country). If you are a gypsy the reasoning goes, you are an outsider, foreign to Europe and therefore not legit. You can see where some of the Russian elite want to go. Russia helped Bulgarian independence in the past out of self interest. It was an easier way to weaken and beat the Ottomans and if they fought the Romanians, Bulgarians and Ottomans at the same time they would have lost.

The bigger your girth grows; the bigger your eyes get.

Sweden and Germany would then be on the menu.

It would definitely be within Russian interests to absorb Belarus and Ukraine into Russia in a friendly mutual manner.

But to say "absorb" and mean take over by force, is not desired. Then how about the Ukraine?

The reason the Ukraine conflict goes on today is that Ukraine is within the Russian "sphere of influence" and that area was acting in an manner negative to Russian interests:

ie...

A. it was persecuting Russian nationals who live in the Ukraine.

B. it was seeking a military alliance with a perceived enemy

C. and Russia was going to lose a major strategic military installation due to Ukraines diplomatic maneuvers with the west.

To say that Russia will seek a future of conquests of multiple countries is a false premise and is not substantiated by past actions in the last 30 years since the break up of the Former Soviet Union.

But what about Georgia, Azerbaijan etc...? Good point.

These are all border nations of the Russian state. These are perfectly understandable actions to ensure stable friendly countries on one's borders.

Think about it. This is very much like the Monroe doctrine.

Are you willing to condemn our interventions in El Sal, Grenada, Panama and any other south/Central American country in the last 70 years?

I am not. It all makes sense to me.

So therefore

so do the Russian actions at this point.

American Thinker had a piece in the last month about the sabotage in Russia.

Hard to say what is the truth. Their piece acknowledge that some Russians were just doing things on their own.

Also the piece alleged or intimated that after 2014 Obama was so miffed by the invasion that he had the CIA set up sleeper cells in Russia, which have now been activated.

I am having trouble finding the piece using key words and limiting the search to the American Thinker site. I will find the piece eventually, since I downloaded it as a pdf. After reports of rollups of spies in Lebanon, Iran China etc I think the CIA is incompetent and more concerned with interfering with American elections than anything else. I could be wrong. the CIA could be concerned with American election more than anything else and be semi-competent abroad.

The article could be right about sleeper cells. That would be nice, but I do not want a Prester John moment.

Biden and the Left get less than all the shit they deserve.

Everyone expected an official declaration of war with Putin banging on the podium with his shoe, what we got was something much less. Putin began with all the usual invectives against the western elites, but in totality it was a domestically focused speech aimed at reassuring the Russian people as the 2023 elections loom nearer.

Reading between the margins today, one cannot help but notice a few developments regarding the military situation:

1) An hour after Putin delivered his speech, Patrushev met with Wang Yi, China's newly minted decision-maker, for an unannounced Moscow briefing.

https://twitter.com/Patriot2_/status/1628055082565599232?s=20

2) Milbloggers of varying credibility have all started posting cryptic allusions this morning to something big starting tomorrow, following the 'unscheduled extraordinary session' of the Russian parliament at 3PM.

A. it was persecuting Russian nationals who live in the Ukraine.

a) How many?
b) How severe?
c) How long?

There is the language issue. Is that enough to declare war over? If so Germany has cause to go to war with France over language in the Alsace-Lorraine region. Is there a redress short of war? Did the Russians go to the UN?

Putin is on a crying jag over mistreatment of Russians. I can find documentaries of ethnic Russians mistreating Tatars in Crimea. Ignore that because you claim it is not severe. then the same arguments works about the Russians in Ukraine. Legally Crimea belongs to Ukraine. However, i do not think they can hold it, when they get it back, if they mistreat the Russians or the Tatars. the Ukrainians I think have mistreated the Tatars,. I am sure the Tatars will return the favor against Russians and Ukrainians. It is human nature.

i did see a report of a Russian officer getting killed due to Ukrainians and Tatar activity. the severity of the persecution of the Tatars by the Russians must be enough for them willing to risk death as an underdog.

C. and Russia was going to lose a major strategic military installation due to Ukraine's diplomatic maneuvers with the west.

Oh, golly gee willikers, so what. Poot Poot loses a rented base about a 100 miles from other bases he has on the same body of water. The US lost Subic Bay in The Phillipines. No war against The Phillipines. Why is this an excuse for anyone than a person who needs to wear diapers?

Not very good pro-tussian arguments on your part Mr. Nobody.

The US has no way to win an unplanned clusterfuck war in the Philippines. Let's imagine how passive the Navy would be if Russia tried to seize Guantanamo thru Cuba.

Your statement

a) How many?
b) How severe?
c) How long?

My reply. I am not going to do your research for you. If you think I am wrong. Prove it. But there were various photos the dead in Donbass and documentation of the dead in Odessa you have to disprove. Why was the Russian language outlawed? Do we out law Spanish or French here? What about the known OCPE reports of the deaths in Donbass?

C. and Russia was going to lose a major strategic military installation due to Ukraine's diplomatic maneuvers with the west.

Look at geography. Subic is not Sevastopol, nor is the Black Sea the South pacific. That is a very bad analogy you are making. First, you are being disingenuous. The US did not "lose Subic". We gave that up freely, because, at the time, the US felt it was no longer needed.

A better one would be Sevastpol in relation to Guantanamo bay, Guam or even closer to Pearl Harbor, The Black Sea fleet has been there over 100 years . It is the third most important fleet in the Russian inventory. Concerning the problems m the Russians have its warm water ports , they would be fools strategically to give this up.

aslo
Your seem to have certain facts correct , but your method of enunciating them does not lend credence to your argument. To be frank it looks childish.

So to be brief Point still stands.

This is a question of great power spheres of influence.

Does not the Monroe doctrine work? And why do we have it?

So
You may not agree with what the Russians did
You may not like what the Russians did.

But you need to understand what the Russians did.

The other side of the coin is: what did the Ukrainians do to help this war come about, and who was telling them to do it?

You have a good day and I have things to do today , but I will catch up with you tomorrow.

"I am not going to do your research for you. "

Meaning you are going asset & scoot (shoot & scoot)

All I heard from WNU is that the Russian language would not be used in courtroom and things like that. That is hardly a cause for war.

Russians have treat Tatars far worse in Crimea. So the world could go to war with Russia over that. R2P and all that. Or if not R2P, then Muslims helping out fellow oppressed Muslims.

WNU whined about culture also, which I believe is risible. So the Ukrainians are not going to let the ethnic Russians celebrate Christmas in the Eastern Orthodox way because the Ukrainians are not Easter Orthodox. Oh wait, most Ukrainians are. WNU was deliberately vague read deliberately lying about the culture issue.

Ukrainian and Russian might not be as closes as American and British English, but it can't be that much different. The language issue is a manufactured crisis.

WNU, Mr Nobody, and all the other Russians here can go fly a kite.

Skods

I am giving you some good advice. This is not working for you. You are not addressing the main points and you logic/analogies are weak.

Good luck

Ah... for the uninitiated on this blog.

SKODA references the Skoda auto works in Czechoslovakia.

It is now used on this blog as a name/ reference for a particular Poster.

About 9 months ago, Mr Skoda went on one of his typical illogical deluded rants. The rant had nothing to do with the subject at hand.
Instead it had to do with the manufacturing of Tanks for the German Army by the SKODA Auto company.

When members of the blog tried to correct him and asked him to return to the subject at hand , he went off the deep end. His next post was a confluence of illogical statements, vulgarity and delusional rantings.
So someone here started calling him SKODA and the name stuck.

You can usually recognize Skoda when he writes

A. He likes to change the main subject by taking a small factoid and start ranting about it as if it were the main subject.
B. He uses analogies that are almost right but are really not valid.
C. His logic is typically flawed
D. He is vugar and exihbits high emotionalism.
E. If he makes an error and you catch him on It he will deny it and said he meant something else. Or he will say, the facts (not present) are inferred. In others words he will try to weasel out of it.

E. But most of all. He likes to use the ad hominem attack. instead of facts.

A one more thing. SKODA hates Fred. They used to be pals, but got into an argument about which episode of Dragon Ball Z was best. Ever since then it has been kinda tough here on the blog.

To reply to our your post.

If language is not an issue, why did the Ukrainians ban it? But it was more than that, if you apposed pro European sentiment you became a deplorable in the Ukraine.

But this is a small part of the real issue. Which is security of ones borders and spheres of influence of great Powers.

The Russians are going to protect and ensure the countries around them are friendly. The USA does the exact same thing.

It was obvious that after being pushed back and seeing their diplomatic efforts thwarted by NATO that the Russians would one day say stop. This happened last February after multiple warnings. Now we are stuck with an ugly war in Europe. Inflation is on the rise, and the good will of the early 2000s has been trampled in the dust. Lots of people have died. It did not have to come to this, but it has.

So I hope this helps you understand.
