Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen Says A Trump Return Would Be 'Geopolitical Catastrophe'

Former NATO Secretary General Anders Fogh Rasmussen. NATO

Politico: Former NATO Chief: Trump Could Sabotage the War

Regardless of whether he wins, Trump’s nomination would blow up Republican support for Ukraine, says Anders Fogh Rasmussen.

It is a notoriously triggering term for the former president, evoking deep humiliation. Rasmussen uses it casually.

“His baggage is too heavy, too controversial,” says Rasmussen, 70, who was Denmark’s prime minister for most of this century’s first decade.

Yet Rasmussen, a right-of-center politician who is now a white-shoe international consultant, remains scared of Trump. What disturbs him more immediately than the idea of Trump back in the White House is a far likelier scenario: Trump winning the Republican presidential nomination.

I was thinking to add financial to the comment but upon further reflection I thought why bother. Short of a 1930's world wide depression how could anyone do worse than the current kids?

Trump was a Bad, BAD Deal for America.

- Energy Independent
- Low oil prices
- Low inflation
- No new wars.
- Ukraine not invaded.
- Border Wall mostly built despite numerous roadblocks thrown up by Democrats.

- Trump was correct to warn Germany to not be so dependent on Russian oil and gas.
- Trump was right to tell Germany to fix its military

- Saudi Arabia was an American ally and not falling into the Chinese orbit.

Anders Fogh Rasmussen IMO is an ass.

simple question for those who like Trump:
if he is as good as you claim, why was he one of the very few American presidents unable to win a second term?

"16 banks went under when Trump in office."

Altogether they would fit in the hip pocket of SVB with room to spare.

"Trump is anti NATO"

Trump told Germany it should spend more on defense. That is pro NATO.

"pro Putin lacky [sic]"

You should learn the English language if you are going to troll using it.

"unable to win a second term?"

Mexico has 129 million people, which is almost half of what the Us has. Its current president AMLO has stated that a previous election was stolen from him. If it can happen there, it can happen here.

Is there a difference between a Russian troll (7:42 & 7:53) and an foaming at the mouth American liberal (7:42 & 7:53) ?

Obviously, not.

The covid epidemic was manufactured and released upon the world's peoples along with draconian lockdowns and near economic and social collapse for the sole purpose of ensuring Trump's defeat in 2020.

If Joe Biden won the lection, then how come most people including Democrats) do not want Joe to run again?

Trump won his primary for a re-election bid. Joe is told not to show up to the primary. Sad

So what if the Biden family has an extensive documented history of making millions selling influence to foreign adversaries. Did you hear that Desantis allegedly ate pudding with his hand once! His HAND!

^ The above does not look like Fred. While vulgar, it is too eloquent to be Fred. In 2016 Russia bought 80 thousand in Facebook ads in a attempt to stir up animosity among political parties.

You do realize troll that you have an audience of exactly one person, who is not going to be swayed by you.

So type some more!
