BBC: China simulates hitting 'key targets' on Taiwan
China has simulated precision strikes against key targets on Taiwan and its surrounding waters during a second day of military drills.
The drills - which Beijing has called a "stern warning" to the self-governing island - are a response to Taiwan's president visiting the US last week.
As the Chinese military simulated an encirclement of the island, the US urged China to show restraint. Taiwan said about 70 Chinese aircraft flew around the island on Sunday.
Eleven Chinese ships were also spotted. On Saturday, Taiwan said that 45 warplanes either crossed the Taiwan Strait median line - the unofficial dividing line between Taiwanese and Chinese territory - or flew into the south-western part of Taiwan's air defence identification zone.
The operation, dubbed "Joint Sword" by Beijing, will continue until Monday. Taiwanese officials have been enraged by the operation.

Chinese are smart. This is the Egyptian strategy against the Bar Lev line. As executed in the 73 war.

Are you trying to be tricky with a false comparison? Or just illogical?
The main topic that I used as a comparison was the attack on the Bar Lev line, not the entire Yom Kippur war.
The Attack on the Bar Lev was a complete success. An absolute success, really.
Egyptians achieved complete surprise. They destroyed all the forts along the line except 1.
Israeli force casualties were very high.
But the key in my comparison to what the Chinese are doing is: the building of the element of Surprise. That's it.
But the destruction of the Egyptian 8th army, the Counter Attack by Ariel Sharon and the possibility of world war...well those are separate matters.
My comment does not encompass them. Your comment is non sequitur.
