A 21-year-old Massachusetts Air National Guardsman has been hit with two federal charges under the Espionage Act for his alleged role in the Pentagon leak.
Jack Teixeira appeared in a Boston federal court on Friday and is facing 15 years in prison if convicted of illegally taking and leaking classified information and military secrets.
Fresh questions are being asked as to how Teixeira, who lived with his mother in North Dighton, Massachusetts and accused of being behind the humiliating security breach, got clearance to access sensitive documents.

Why does this feel like the obscure filmmaker in California who was arrested to much media fanfare, for supposedly igniting riots in Cairo and the attack on the Benghazi embassy?

There were Russians on the Discord group. I can see one or more of them acting like Anna Chapman (gun rights etc). The OG states something and they say "nuh uh" to goad him. So he get gets induced or pumped to provide more information. Maybe the CIA or some other intel caught on. So they planted information. The non-Ukrainian info was a loss leader. It was also to damage Joe Biden, who the establishment does not want to run again. Sure the disclosures will hurt relations with South Korea, but that is short term and the relationship will mend. Meantime the important thing is that Joe is out.
The casualty figures are from an official government document. They are doctored, but they are official. The point is to lull the Russians and achieve operational surprise.
During WW2 Garbo provided the Germans with true information. It built up his bona fides. the true information was necessary so the Germans would believe the false information. It is standard operating procedure. So much of the data is true, but it does not matter for all intents and purposes. Much of the data is true and it has to be for the ruse to work.
When Texeira was noticed, the CIA piggybacked onto it. Their cover story created itself.
I would bet traffic between SCIFs is analyzed and intercepted. So when Texeira was browsing, it was picked up. I am pretty sure the government does the same with porn after reading a news story 3 or 4 months ago. There was no reason given for how the person was found and picked up unlike in the past. So why not with secret data going between SCIFs?
If Texiera serves 3 or 4 years and then drops off the face of the earth, then he was in on the plant and ill be given a new identity and job on release. Or he could have just been straight up found out.
Questions is, how was he alone in the SCIF raking pictures?

For one, studies have show people hate to scroll down, the more that have to scroll the more they hate it. Additionally, the inane comments might break a person's train of thought.

I do and I do not buy the mental illness. Mental illness is s spectrum. So you can label 90% to 100% of the population with mental illness at some point in time during their lives. Society has to agree on new or updated definitions.
What I can count is when or how fast this guy made rate. How long did it take to make E2, E3, etc. Anyone who has been in the military for 4 years or more judges others by if they made rank according to the average. Texeira, if what I am reading is correct, made rate slower than his peers.
The Air force is slow to make rank. It is nicer to join the Air Force than the Navy, the Navy is faster to make rank. Being away from home sucks. I do not quite know how the Air National guard works. that is military, but it is state not federal.
People have been kicking around the usefulness of IQ as a measure. IQ is a summary statist. It is both informative, but the mere act of summarization also obscures. So what I am saying is look at the sub components that psychologist study. I.e. is Texeira book smart, but street dumb? It will probably make more sense then.
A street dumb person could easily be used by intel of either side (or both).
