Kremlin says president visited occupied territories where he discussed conflict with military officials
Vladimir Putin has made a rare visit to a military headquarters in Russian-occupied Ukraine in an area where his troops are bracing themselves for an expected Ukrainian counteroffensive in the coming weeks.
Video put out by the Kremlin showed the Russian president stepping off a military helicopter and then being driven to a military headquarters in southern Ukraine, where he met a senior officer from Russia’s airborne troops, Col Gen Mikhail Teplinsky, who has reportedly taken up a powerful new role in the invasion.

President Putin may be visiting some of the top brass in Ukraine, but he is not visiting the "troops", i.e. the common soldier serving on the frontlines who are doing the fighting and dying. No matter what the headlines say. My guess is that his security advisors warned President Putin against such front line visits for security reasons.
If that's the top brass, I think Putin has a problem.. look at the body language of almost everyone here.. particularly when he opens up the table round.. guy is just going through his notes while Putin speaks on camera
