How Would ECOWAS Invade Niger?

DW: Niger: How might an ECOWAS military intervention unfold? 

How likely is West Africa regional bloc ECOWAS to use force to restore Niger's democracy and what are its chances of success? DW dives into the bloc's dilemma. 

West Africa's defense chiefs were wrapping up a meeting in Nigeria's capital Abuja on Thursday where they discussed the possibility of a military intervention if diplomatic efforts fail to reinstate Niger's ousted president, Mohamed Bazoum. 

The Economic Community of West African States, the regional bloc known as ECOWAS, threatened the use of force if coup leaders don't restore Bazoum to power by Sunday.

WNU Editor: Bottom line. ECOWAS does not have the logistics to accomplish a military intervention in Niger. The only way that it could be accomplished is with French/U.S. involvement.

It could be like the US invasion of Grenada. The Americans and French could go in, overthrow the rebels and the Ewoks could follow up with an occupation using American logistics. I think there's around 3 thousand NATO troops in country already. Mostly American and French.

War, war, war. The history of mankind is never ending wars. Millions and millions have dies and will die in future wars and I am sick of it.
How long can civilization even last at its current level, with nuclear weapons owned by the US, Russia, China, France, Great Britain, India, Pakistan, Israel and North Korea? The leadership of the world's nations are not up to the task. The future is dark and this new war is just an example of what is to come.
