Reuters: Hamas armed wing says it discussed freeing 70 hostages in return for 5-day truce
CAIRO (Reuters) -The armed wing of the Palestinian militant group Hamas said on Monday it told Qatari mediators the group was ready to release up to 70 women and children held in Gaza in return for a five-day truce with Israel.
"Last week there was an effort from the Qatari brothers to release the enemy captives from women and children, in return for the release of 200 Palestinian children and 75 women detained by the enemy" Abu Ubaida, the spokesman for the armed wing of Hamas, al-Qassam Brigades, said in an audio recording posted on the group's Telegram channel.

they want to exchange hostage for time to drag this put while taking minimal casualties, but still snip every now and then.
This all started, when they broke the last truce. Breaking truces with non-Muslims is allowable at any time according to their religion.
Truces between Muslim states last 10 years and must not be broken.
No nation would be stupid enough to agree to this . Yeah, 5 days to rearm, regroup, restore comes, set more ambushes ..yeah right. Hamas practically begging for a ceasefire only shows that the IDF is bleeding them out, but fast.
Silence between storms, sounds like they need to regroup or prepare for something before going on.
