Israel - Hamas War -- News Updates January 18, 2024

BBC: Netanyahu publicly rejects US push for Palestinian state

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu says he has told the United States that he opposes the establishment of a Palestinian state once the conflict in Gaza comes to an end.

In a news conference, a defiant Mr Netanyahu vowed to press on with the offensive in Gaza "until complete victory": the destruction of Hamas and return of the remaining Israeli hostages, adding that it could take "many more months".

With almost 25,000 Palestinians killed in Gaza, according to the Hamas-run health ministry, and 85% of the strip's population displaced, Israel is under intense pressure to rein in its offensive and engage in meaningful talks over a sustainable end to the war.

The Gazans had an actual State of their own between 2006 and 2023. Israel did not occupy Gaza during those years. Hamas used every resource given to them to make for war and attacks on Israel. E.g: converting lengths of 8" aluminum water pipe into rockets. If there wasn't an occupation of Gaza before, there now will be for years to come. There is no way Israel can coexist with a "state" that has declared its sole policy the genocide of Jews.

palestine is Gaza. Gaza is palestine. Take it or leave it.

True power is openly mocking the world hegemon and having them send you billions in aid for it.

The last people I am concerned about are left wing journalists going to prison.
Most if not all need a stint of 20 years. The more the better.

Start with MSNBC, then CNN, CBC, BBC, etc and then jail all the lefty reporters, which would be 95%. Might get some pro-America, actual truth then.
