A document on the Central Intelligence Agency’s website makes an explosive, if outlandish, claim: Adolf Hitler survived World War II.

“CIMELODY-3 [a code name] was contacted on 29 September 1955 by a trusted friend who served under his command in Europe and who is presently residing in Maracaibo,” the acting intelligence chief in Caracas, Venezuela sent to his supervisor days later, on October 3, 1955. “CIMELODY-3’s friend stated that during the latter part of September 1955, Phillip CITROEN, former German SS trooper, stated to him confidentially that Adolph HITLER is still alive.” It continued, “CITROEN commented that inasmuch as ten years have passed since the end of World War II, the Allies could no longer prosecute HITLER as a criminal of war.”

“The source thought it worthy of sending up to HQ which is notable,” a source in the Department of Defense tells me. “Even at the time, those guys had to do a lot of separating the wheat from the chaff.”

WNU Editor: After the break-up of the Soviet Union a friend of mine who is a teacher in history at Moscow State University and an expert on the Second World War wanted to have access to the files in the Kremlin on the death of Adolf Hitler. At the time of his request everything was open to the public .... there were no more secrets. Everything with the exception of the files pertaining to Adolf Hitler's death. His request was denied.

A veteran CIA agent claims to have proof Hitler faked his own death in his bunker at the end of the Second World War.

The team have used a collection of never-before-seen documents to develop the theory that Hitler did not actually kill himself and instead fled to the Canary Islands.

Veteran CIA agent Bob Baer said: "The narrative the government gives us is a lie. if you look at the FBI files it throws open the investigation.

"What we are doing is re-examining history, history that we thought was settled that Hitler died in the bunker but the deeper we get into it, it's clear to me we don't have any facts for it."

WNU Editor: Hitler died in Berlin. Stalin .... the Russians .... if there was any suspicion that Hitler was alive and had escaped .... they would have gone to the ends of the earth to find him. Some German Jews escaped the Holocaust by fleeing the country, others hid and some battled to stay alive long enough to be freed from the Nazi death camps.

But Ernst Hess owed his survival to the personal intervention of Adolf Hitler.

The Fuhrer ordered his SS thugs to leave the Jewish judge alone because Hess had been his commanding officer during the First World War.

My Comment: I asked my father on where was he when he learned that the U.S. was at war with Japan because of Pearl Harbor (he was in the Soviet army on the Eastern front during this time). He only found out about it a few weeks later, and only on the news that the U.S. was now at war with Germany .... a prospect that (naturally) gave relief to him and his fellow Soviet soldiers. As to Pearl Harbor, he learned more about it after the war was finished and he was curious about the Allied effort against the Axis powers.

RUSSIA is planning to put the files detailing the death of Adolf Hitler in his Berlin bunker on display to disprove allegations in a new book that he escaped to Argentina after the war.

Author Gerrard Williams and Simon Dunstan claim in Grey Wolf: The Escape Of Adolf Hitler that body doubles of the Fuhrer and lover Eva Braun were found by the Red Army in the garden of his wrecked chancellery.

They go on to say that Hitler and Eva had two daughters and that he lived until 1962 in Argentina, sheltered by the right-wing regime in Buenos Aires.

My Comment: It is amazing that people are still focused on Hitler and what may (or may not) have happened to him. I take solace in the fact that he is dead .... and believe that we should leave it like that.

Adolf Hitler's claims to have been a heroic First World War soldier who "looked death in the eye" have been debunked in a new book which reveals that the Nazi leader's alleged military bravery was largely a product of party propaganda designed to win over the masses to his cause.

Hitler served as a messenger on the western front during the war and was awarded the Iron Cross for carrying dispatches. He wrote in his autobiography, Mein Kampf, that the time in the trenches "was the happiest in my life" and claimed that he risked death "probably every day".

My Comment: He may have been a 'lousy' soldier .... but he definitely was not a lousy political organizer nor a lousy leader who could motivate men and women (all be it from a fanatical viewpoint) to die for him. I take these 'newly discovered' documents with a grain of salt.

DALLAS – After fighting his way across Europe during World War II, John Pistone was among the U.S. soldiers who entered Adolf Hitler's home nestled in the Bavarian Alps as the war came to a close.

Making his way through the Berghof, Hitler's home near Berchtesgaden, Germany, Pistone noticed a table with shelves underneath. Exhilarated by the certainty of victory over the Nazis, Pistone took an album filled with photographs of paintings as a souvenir.

My Comment: War and conflicts bring about the worse in people, but one aspect that is rarely covered is war booty and the theft of national treasures. It is amazing how many people find such collections fascinating. But art is art, and while the Nazis were monsters, they understood its value. If returning this book can help a family somewhere .... more power to it.
