Warzone/The Drive: Do These Models Provide A Glimpse Of China’s Future H-20 Bomber? (Updated)  

Two new models have emerged that could give us clues to the appearance of China’s secretive new long-range bomber.  

The saga of China’s H-20 next-generation bomber may have taken a very interesting new turn, with the appearance of at least two models showing a new aircraft design, or at least a concept, that seems to have strong similarities to how the H-20 is expected to look. That last point is crucial, since we have not, so far, seen any official renderings of the H-20 beyond depictions that are highly obscured, and which may not actually bear much of a relationship to the final design. However, with recent hints of an imminent first flight dropped by China’s state-run media, there seems to be momentum gathering behind the long-awaited bomber, suggesting its official unveiling — or a state-approved leaking — may not be far off.

China’s New H-20 Stealth Bomber Would Be Able To Hit Pearl Harbor

The H-20 is a strategic bomber similar to the B-2 or B-21, according to the US Defense Intelligence Agency. The warplane is currently being developed by China (artist's impression) 

Daily Mail: Beijing's new stealth bomber could attack US territories far beyond China's shores with nuclear missiles, study claims 

 * H-20 could give China 'a truly intercontinental' strike capability, a UK report says 

 * It would be armed with nuclear and conventional standoff missiles, authors add 

 * The Pentagon believes the feared fighter could hit US territories, such as Guam 

 * Other military analysts have hinted it might even have Hawaii within its reach 

 * The long-range subsonic warplane is under development and highly mysterious 

Beijing's new stealth bomber H-20 may have the capabilities of striking US military bases far beyond the Chinese shores with nuclear missiles, according to a report by a UK think thank. 

The long-range subsonic warplane is one of China's most mysterious military projects in recent years and currently under development. 

The Pentagon believes that the bomber would have a range of over 5,000 miles and be able to hit US territories, such as Guam. 

Other military analysts, however, have hinted that H-20 might even have Hawaii within its reach.

Asia Times: PLA’s H-20 stealth bomber to take to the skies soon

The long-awaited H-20 is set to have an operational range of 8,000 kilometers without mid-air refueling

Chinese media have confirmed that the Hong-20, or H-20, the nation’s next generation strategic stealth bomber that has been more than a decade in the making, may take to the skies very soon.

In August, state broadcaster China Central Television revealed in a documentary marking the 91st anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army that the first H-20, a genuine “game changer”, could roll off its production line sooner than estimated.

Earlier this month, CCTV confirmed that the first H-20 trial flight was on the horizon.
