FOX News: Trump signals he has ‘interesting’ details on Roswell, as son grills him about aliens

President Trump, under rigorous questioning from his son Donald Trump Jr., on Thursday about the existence of extraterrestrial life, suggested he knew "interesting" information about Roswell, N.M. -- the site of a 1947 crash that has touched off conspiracy theories about an alien spacecraft ever since.

Trump made the comments in a lighthearted, Father's Day-themed video interview produced by his presidential campaign that dealt with a variety of topics, including potential U.S. government secrets about aliens.

"Before you leave office, will you let us know if there's aliens? Because this is the only thing I really want to know. I want to know what's going on. Would you ever open up Roswell and let us know what's going on there?" Trump Jr. asked.

* Edward Snowden, the NSA whistleblower who blew the lid on the US government's classified mass surveillance programs, shut down a conspiracy theory that the US is secretly housing alien lifeforms.
* Speaking on an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, which aired on Wednesday, Snowden said he did not find any evidence of extraterrestrials when he snooped through the databases of the CIA and NSA.
* "Everybody wants to believe in conspiracy theories because it helps life make sense," he told Rogan. "It helps us believe that somebody is in control, that somebody is calling the shots."

Edward Snowden shut down the conspiracy theory that the US government is secretly harboring aliens at its top secret facilities during an episode of "The Joe Rogan Experience" podcast, which aired on Wednesday.

Snowden, an American whistleblower who revealed details of classified US government surveillance programs in 2013, addressed rumors about secret extraterrestrial lifeforms in his recently released memoir "Permanent Record."

"I know, Joe, I know you want there to be aliens," he said. "I know Neil deGrasse Tyson badly wants there to be aliens. And there probably are, right?"

Washington Post: Japanese defense minister denies aliens have invaded Japan

During a budget session in the Diet, or Japan's parliament, the country's Defense Minister Gen Nakatani confirmed that aliens had never penetrated Japanese air space.

The statement was a response to a question by outlandish lawmaker and square-jawed former celebrity wrestler Antonio Inoki.

According to the AFP, Inoki queried whether Japanese fighter jets had ever intercepted extraterrestrial objects and if "studies were going on" to determine their existence.

Russian Military: 'Space Troops Not Yet Ready To Fight Aliens’ -- RT

Despite being called Russia’s space troops, they are not ready to deal with invasions by aliens from outer space, according to a statement by a Russian defense official.

In a surprising move, an apparently serious journalist raised this question of extraterrestrial security during a media conference at the Titov Main Test and Space Systems Control Center near Moscow, Russia’s main satellite control center.

“So far we are not capable of that. We are unfortunately not ready to fight extraterrestrial civilizations,” the center’s deputy chief Sergey Berezhnoy explained.

“Our center was not tasked with it. There are too many problems on Earth and near it,” he added.
