Israeli Warplanes Practice In Iraq

Israeli F-16 Warplane

From Jerusalem Post:

Israel Air Force (IAF) war planes are practicing in Iraqi airspace and land in US airbases on the country as preparation for a potential strike on Iran, sources in the Iraqi Defense Ministry told a local news network, Friday.

The report, carried also by Iranian news outlets, claimed that recently massive nocturnal activity by IAF craft was noted in several American held airbases, including measures by the US army to increase security around the bases.

The Jerusalem Post could not confirm the veracity of the report.

My Comment: With the exception of the UPI and Reuters News services, it is only the Israeli news services that are carrying this story (for now). The story broke out two weeks ago that Israel was practicing over the Mediterranean for an air strike on Iran .... to a story that they are now practicing over Iraq.

If Israel was practicing over Iraqi airspace, Iraqi civilians would have broken out the story long ago. There are too many eyes and ears in region. But there is no question that pressure is deliberately being applied to Iran right now. The stick is being shown, and I am sure that the Iranian leadership are now pondering the consequences of an Israeli strike right now.

I am also sure that other Arab states, the Iraqi government, and the U.S. administration are also pondering on what will be the consequences of such a strike.
