Israel Upgrades It's Ballistic Missile Shield

Israel To Upgrade Ballistic Missile Shield -- The Telegraph

Israel is upgrading its Arrow II ballistic missile shield as tensions rise over Iran's nuclear programme.

"The upgraded Block 4 will significantly improve and enhance the performance of our current defence," an official from the ministry of defence, told The Daily Telegraph. The system is a joint project between Israel and the US.

The official confirmed the upgrade to the system but said that it is a scheduled improvement and part of a multiyear plan to build Israel's defensive shield and advance it to an Arrow III system. The Arrow systems are developed by the Pentagon in partnership with Boeing, the American aircraft and military defence company.
