News Twitter Feeds From UPI And New York Post Hacked. Posted Tweets That War Had Broken Out Against China

ABC News: News Outlet Twitter Hacks Falsely Report Military Conflict With China

Update: Navy: China has not attacked U.S. aircraft carrier -- Navy Times

WNU Editor: Everyone is having a good laugh right now .... but last week the Islamic State hacked Centcom's social media accounts and put up some obvious propaganda .... but what would have happened if they had did something else .... something more insidious .... like posting the tweets that were posted at UPI and the New York Post .... or something worse like a bulletin that a nuclear device had gone off at one of their bases .... I can only imagine the scramble and panic that would ensue to find out if the story was accurate or not. Or better still .... organize a hack that would seize the White House, Pentagon, and the twitter feeds of AP, Reuters, BBC, and a few news outlets .... and then broadcast that nuclear missiles were inbound .... I can guarantee you one thing then .... no one is going to be laughing. Yup ... I can see it now ....

BREAKING: White House: Russian ICBMs inbound to the continental United States. Massive nuclear attack underway. All U.S. Military Forces are now at  Defcon 1.

It would be very serious if anyone listened or believed the MSM news anymore. To address the true import of it would to understand these guys are one step closer to gaining control of the internal communications of the military (or government) and that is very very serious.

I have always felt that in the event of a war with China the first to go would be the satellites as both China and the US have proven their ability to shoot them down. My guess is that the secret space shuttle is the US's back up communications capability if such an eventuality should occur.

It seems that the internet is going to be the great equalizer putting minor players right up front with the big guys.
