"According to him, the previous Union State doctrine was adopted in 2001. "We are not threatening anyone. Belarus’ new Military Doctrine, like the previous one, is defensive in nature, but we must be ready to perform our tasks. We must ensure security of the state, if necessary," Valevach said."

A very good idea. Especially as how Belarus shares borders with crazy idiots who like to dress up in NAZI uniforms, march around, celebrate Hitler's birthday, some obscure battle their WW2 SS "freiwilligen" divisions got slaughtered by the Soviets in, or some such rubbish, and pull coups with "western" help a la Ukraine.

Belarus shows good sense and this follows up Xi's visit with deals to develop industry and infrastructure.

Meanwhile, in Canada, we will soon be able to make a home down payment with a bundle of celery hearts or a honey bee ham.
