CTV News: Fort McMurray in flames: The most dramatic footage from the disaster zone
Fort McMurray residents fleeing a ferocious wildfire are sharing jaw-dropping footage of their escapes through what resembled apocalypse-like conditions.
More than 80,000 people have fled the municipality on a mandatory evacuation order that was expanded late Wednesday night.
Residents travelling on the main highway out of the city captured footage of towering trees being devoured by flames, while burning debris fell onto the roadway.

My late father who was born in the 20's and was an adolescent in the 40's, witnessing the destruction of Eastern Europe during WW2, use to always say that war is not needed after an event like that in Alberta. Truly unbelievable and so intense is the destruction. How right he was basing his assessment of man vs Mother Nature.
