CTV: Evacuation zone expanded in Fort McMurray

Wildfires continue to burn out of control in Fort McMurray on Thursday and the situation prompted officials to expand the evacuation zone overnight.

Residents, many of whom who had already escaped the city, were now told to evacuate further as the fire expanded, threatening Anzac, Gregoire Lake Estates and Fort McMurray First Nation.

The communities are about 50 km south of Fort McMurray itself. All residents were transported to Lac La Biche.
