U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo Says U.S. Will Provide Economic Help To North Korea If It Gives Up Nuclear Weapons

USA Today: Pompeo suggests U.S. will assist North Korea's economy if it gets rid of nuclear weapons

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo suggested Friday the United States would assist North Korea with its economy if it gets rid of nuclear weapons.

The announcement was made at a joint news conference with South Korean Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha one day after Pompeo returned from North Korea with three American prisoners.

Pompeo said he had "substantive" conversations with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un during his visit ahead of a highly anticipated planned summit between President Trump and Kim.

“If North Korea takes bold action to quickly denuclearize, the United States is prepared to work with North Korea to achieve prosperity on the par with our South Korean friends,” Pompeo said.

WNU Editor: According to South Korean media, the U.S. wants North Korea to ship each month 5 nuclear weapons to France for destruction, coupled with UN inspectors entering North Korean nuclear and missile sites .... Report: North Korea weapons could be flown to France (UPI). I am speculating right now .... but my gut is telling me that minus a few minor details, an agreement of understanding has already been reached between the U.S/South Korea and North Korea.

WNU Editir,

My "gut" and yours are in agreement. I must ask though can France actually be trusted? My "gut" says no but my "gut" also tells me this will be mitigated by having Americans directly supervising the entire process from start to finish with these supervisors reporting directly to POTUS himself. In other words, while Congress will be kept apprised of all developments, there will be no "filter" between the American supervisors and POTUS. This should mitigate against the duplicitous and treacherous nature of the French.

This may be why France was selected. I don't think anyone can say with a straight face that France is any sort of real ally to America yet it does allow America an ability to monitor the situation that may not be present in China for example.

My amazement at Trumps dealings with North Korea rises daily. Shame on the Democrats. Hopefully Americans in November are in a punishing mood.

I still don't understand why KJU is ready to give up its "security" for just promises. I am sure we have to give him a lot of "security process" for reaching this goal.
