Guys it's clickbait. The same thing CNN did 20 years ago. 1999: Should we all learn Chinese? China to overtake US economy by 2010. LOL Reality today: US economy twice(!) the size of China. And Chinese growth is slowing. And satellite data suggests the Chinese inflated their GDP by up to 30%. Means US could be 3 times size of China. Come on. The race is over and 2025 goal of China is a laughing stock. Solution to keep control for the party will be to instigate some kind of conflict, to keep the show going. But I do not think it will be an invasion of Taiwan. The world nations are almost 100% against China. China is unpopular even in Asia, with enemies left and right ranging from India (1bn strong) to Vietnam (who they almost went to war with two year ago), to Japan (third largest economy in the world and good military).. NATO would jump on them too.. this China myth is ridiculous and some people like to keep it going.. For $$$$ of course.. that's why so many influencers in the media get paid by China. Including the millions that are spent on CNN every month. China is the largest buyer of CNN ads and editorials (that's bought pieces where they write a nice story about something Chinese, e.g. a travel location) behind the own US market. Wake up, guys..

I'm skeptical of this report as well. Allot can and will happen by 2030.

Will America even still exist by 2030? After all it counts as enemies some of the world's most powerful countries. Also, internal divisions may cause the country to break apart.

On the other hand, fracking, if properly utilized, has the potential to enable the United States to become indisputably the most powerful country on earth. It's kind of tough to predict the world on 2030. There are allot of unknowns.

Nevertheless we try. If we can analyze current trends and predict the future with some degree of accuracy, we can position ourselves, our families, and the organizations we represent in such a way as to maximize benefits and minimize costs.

IMHO the article the editor links to does not represent a serious analysis as much as it represents what those who conducted the analysis wish to happen. This can be a problem when trying to predict future occurrences. Our own biases can get in the way.

WASHINGTON (AP) — Thousands of requests by men to bring in child and adolescent brides to live in the United States were approved over the past decade, according to government data obtained by The Associated Press. In one case, a 49-year-old man applied for admission for a 15-year-old girl.

The approvals are legal: The Immigration and Nationality Act does not set minimum age requirements. A

China could become the world’s largest economy by next year, according to a projected ranking by one bank. Standard Chartered says that, by 2030, India will be No. 2, ahead of the U.S. (now No. 1), based on purchasing power parity exchange rates and nominal GDP.

Indonesia and Turkey will round out the top five economies in 2030, and Germany, the only European nation in the top 10, will place last.
