North Korea Says It Has Conducted A 'Very Important Test' At It's Sohae Satellite Launch Site

State media KCNA reported that a 'significant' test was carried out on Sunday, local time, at its Sohae satellite launch site, but did not specify what was tested at the site previously used to launch rockets into space.

Daily Mail: North Korea carries out 'very significant' test at satellite launch site a day after it said denuclearization talks with the U.S. were off the negotiating table

  * The test was carried out at North Korea's Sohae satellite launch site
  * State media KCNA did not specify what was tested, but said the results would 'be used for upgrading the country's strategic status'
  * Missile experts said the operation was likely a static test of a rocket engine
  * It comes after talks between U.S. and North Korea stalled, with the country's UN ambassador saying that denuclearization talks were off 'the table'

North Korea has carried out a 'very significant' test at its Sohae satellite launch site hours after it announced denuclearization talks with the U.S. were off the negotiating table.

State media KCNA reported that the test was carried out on Sunday, local time, but did not specify what was tested at the site previously used to launch rockets into space.

However, local media reports say a new satellite image indicated North Korea may be preparing to resume testing engines used to power satellite launchers at the site.

Analysts have said the site has never before been used to launch an intercontinental ballistic missile, but it has been used to test missile engines. Past satellite launches have helped scuttle talks with the United States.

Told you. The north Korean regime hopes to get some monetary relief for staying out of the news .

The logic is this: they (the north Koreans ) hope that DJT is weakened enough by impeachment procedures that he cannot risk any major blowback. So they therfore hope that if they threaten to make noise, DJT will send money .

But you can tell the problem in this analysis:

They watched CNN to come to that conclusion. On cnn and msnbc the trump presidency is portrayed as a step away from complete impeachment (multiple if necessary!).. and so the Koreans just like our little Fred Lapides watch CNN and all this fabricated leftist outrage nonsense. Then just like the next idiot at a CNN analyst roundtable they blab and blab this utter nonsense only exposing their own limitations, hubris and hatred..the north Korean regime has more and more similarities with people on cnn. Oh also, just to remind you. ..cnn got a lot of cash from China between 2015-2018... a lot. It doesn't take a genius to see this conflict of interest here.

There is such a thing as over analyzing. There is no chance of Korea getting any money from Trump as he has given all the spare change to his wealthy buddies and is now forced to cut back on food stamps to make up the difference.

A true measure of a nation is how they treat the least of their people and in the case of the US the people get screwed and are paying for bonuses to the wealthy and of course the tariffs.

Omfg if you call my 2min write down an over analysis please don't vote this time around. You will help the nation!

As an outsider looking in (not American) I’m puzzled by the fanatical hatred toward Trump. Yes he may be a narcissistic egomaniac but he’s the first president for a long time who is trying to rectify the downward spiral of the US economy. Anybody who has studied Economics 101 knows inflows need to exceed outflows to profit. Trump could have taken the easy feel good route and bent over to globalists like his predecessors but he didn’t. He took a very difficult route in an attempt to increase the living standards of Americans. I’m astounded he has achieved so much in such difficult circumstances and I don’t think Americans realise how lucky they are to have Trump fighting in their corner.

Dear comrade Kim,

Please aim your first ICBM at Republican national HQ. It's our countries most dangerous domestic terrorist organization. Then put the second one on the 18th green at Mar a Lago.

Sincerely,

American citizen

Anon 8:14, only a few, most of us see what your saying. Good analysis though and we are thankful for someone who has put our economy back on the right track. That's what made us great and MAGA!!

I liked your analysis, Bob should have not spoken. Why some people can't see the hypocrites of the left is stunning and worrisome.

America is so divided. Why someone can't see the hypocrites of the left and/or the right shows the value of subtle indoctrination. Actually it is Anon who should not have spoken, as usual.

"...forced to cut back on food stamps to make up the difference." - Maroon

What a maroon.

"The new rule – which faced bipartisan rejection when the latest Farm Bill was drafted – targets able-bodied adults under 50 without children. It will more strictly enforce a requirement that recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) work 20 hours per week. That requirement has until now been subject to waivers that states can receive relaxing those requirements, especially when unemployment is high. In states without these waivers, people can receive food stamps for no more than three months during a 36-month period"

- We are not talking about families with children
- We are not talking about children
- We are not talking about the elderly
- we are not talking about anyone who qualifies for AARP

Yet the maroon still complains, carps and capers about.

The rule was ALREADY THERE. It is just being enforced.

Even adults under age 50 can get food stamps. They just have to work 20 hours a week. This must be a seemingly tough task to Bob. He considers it hard work to pull the lever of a one armed bandit for more than 2 hours a week.

Nevertheless you have not countered my claim that the money will go to the rich, or at minimum cover deficiencies already incurred by the massive upward socialistic payment to the wealthy made previously.

Bob,

Is this before or after you see and employed (for the time being) 19 year old slug shack up with his 18 year old girlfriend and, who has also knocked up a seventeen year old, with all 3 of them shacked up together? All white.

Everyone really needs to pay for them; is that your awesome thinking?

Also please explain the following. Why would a say a singer have to pay a higher tax rate on the earnings on their 10th concert for the year than on the previous concerts? Come up with some reason other than you are green with envy or you just 'need' the money.

What in heaven's name are you talking about and how does it relate to my question?

I just gave a real life of people collecting welfare of all kinds. That is all. Some of the welfare they would be collecting would by SNAP (food stamps). You are okay with them making bad decision, committing felonies, and then go on to collect welfare, which actually money taken form hard working people. That makes you a special kind of turd.

Here you are all worried that someone is going to starve. Actually you are not worried at all. It is just a sob story so that you can buffalo the political opposition.

How is it that a fart like yourself gets all indignant that a single person aged 18 to 50 would have to work 20 hour to collect welfare? Answer that?

The second part is clear. Why should a person pay a higher tax rare for their 5th, 10th, 100th or nth dollar than the 1st dollar?

You want that progressive (actually regressive) tax rate to fund SNAP out the ass so as to buy votes.

Bob Huntley said...

You still haven't answered my question however your penultimate post suggested the depth of your confusion so here goes.

You actually should be wondering why you think it is okay for multimillionaires and multibillionaires to pay a lower tax rate than say, you. And in the process of rationalizing that out, also factor in that they received of an unearned/unexpected tax rebate of taxes already paid. And don't forget a promise of more rebate to come.

Once you have rationalized that, then think about how that tax rebate was funded, as in who paid for it. Hint, tariffs paid for by the American consumer, increased debt for the country, and reductions in social services to the needy some of whom may well be scam artists, but, who live in the shadow of the greatest scam artist(s), the wealthy and Trump.

In short, the people paying for the largess to the wealthy are people like you. Assuming of course you are an American, live and shop in America and pay taxes in America. Do you really think that is fair because that is the image you are portray?

Bob,

Why are you against a flat tax rather than a so called progressive one with carve-outs/loopholes galore?

Why should a union worker in forced overtime pay a higher tax rate for working Saturdays and Sundays? Their 'extra' money is worth less, because they get out less.

Bob Huntley said...

First I am not an American so I really care nothing about how the "people" in America, excluding the wealthy, get screwed on taxes. The biggest screw job is allocating so much money collected to supporting the WIC when there is much that can be done at home to help the "people" and the country. Remember that wonderful concept of a 'government by the people and for the people'. It appears to have gone out the window long ago.

I am not against a flat tax up to a certain level, but, after that I feel a progressively increased tax rates are a must and applicable to ALL income (no care-outs/loopholes galore or otherwise). Put it in and apply it to the wealthy is fine with me and would do a lot to help the 'people', maybe even reduce the debt load.

A union worker or any other worker for that matter does not necessarily pay a higher rate on overtime money. If the overtime was so consistent that say in half a year and on one night that worker's O/T pay took his overall income into another tax bracket, that increased rate would apply to all earnings from that point on. It is not retro-active to money already earned before the change.

In other words a return to the 1950s or so.

"First I am not an American so I really care nothing about ..."

Which is why you are here every day spilling copious amounts of ink.

"I am not against a flat tax up to a certain level, but, after that I feel a progressively increased tax rates are a must and applicable to ALL income"

A corporate executive should not be treated any different than a movie star, singer or sports star. Yet they are. Now make the argument that those 3 groups do not deserve their money.

"A union worker or any other worker for that matter does not necessarily pay a higher rate on overtime money ..."

Giving yourself a generous caveat. Obviously, you do not know what union workers in the northern 2 tiers make at large companies. You have not seen them legitimately bitch about missing weekends for 3 months in a row. It is painfully obvious that you are stupid fuck and don't know much at all. It is not a wonder that you are single or that your ex made sure it was a girl.

Bob Huntley said...

Your responses are as per usual inane, especially the last one about working weekends. The issue was about the tax rate they pay, not about overtime allocation, or, availability.

It really is pointless trying to have a conversation you.

If you don't like what I post, don't read my stuff and please no more responses, inane or otherwise.
