Is The EU's Vaccine Rollout A Disaster?

Gatestone Institute: EU's Covid-19 Vaccination Debacle: "Epochal Failure"

 * The vaccination rollout has been plagued by bureaucratic sclerosis, poorly-negotiated contracts, penny-pinching and blame shifting — all wrapped in a shroud of secrecy. The result is a needless and embarrassing shortage of vaccines, and yet another a crisis of legitimacy for the EU.

 * "The European Commission ordered too late, limited its focus to only a few pharmaceutical companies, agreed on a price in a typically bureaucratic EU manner and completely underestimated the fundamental importance of the situation. We now have a situation where grandchildren in Israel are already vaccinated but the grandparents here are still waiting. That's just completely wrong." — Markus Söder, Bavarian premier and possible future German chancellor.

WNU Editor: Even European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen has admitted that the EU's vaccine rollout has been a failure .... Covid: EU's von der Leyen admits vaccine rollout failures (BBC).

But there is still hope that certain goals will be met (maybe) .... EU Could Meet 70% Vaccination Target By Late July If Production Steps Up (S&P Global).

As to what is my take. I live in Canada. And if the EU's vaccination program is a disaster, Canada's is worse .... Canada's vaccine rollout stalls, confining seniors to their homes for months to come (CNN)

Update #2: Making up for past mistakes and hesitancy .... EU to fast track approval of vaccines targeting coronavirus mutations (Politico.eu).

All these EU scum bags made fun of the USA and and Trumps "warp speed" program. Whose laughing now all locked down euro-clowns.

Oh and I went out with friends and family for chinese food Friday night in a packed restaurant. Dinner was great, enjoy your lock down dinners in your empty cities.
